Guys like boychuk and especially Leddy aren't used to matching up against the top opposition while playing 35+ mins a night in the playoffs. Well see what happens.

This was supposed to say 25+, right?

according to some that's what all Islander fans are saying

You mean the season is not done and we still have to play the playoffs?

Cappy doesn't give anyone that much ice time. They will play about the same minutes they are playing now.

When you're in double OT in back to back games?

It really looks that way. Fack 'em! I'm going to continue enjoying these "meaningless" wins.

Mcdonagh and Girardi both logged close to an hour of ice time during a triple OT game 2 years ago.

Yep. Like it or not or for better or worse these guys ice time is dispersed pretty evenly as compared to other teams.

You know what it looks like to me? Looks like a bunch of worried little children grasping at straws. It's embarrassing to watch.

Plus there could be an earthquake. They're not used to that either. Maybe a meteor strike! We're DOOOOMED!

Go back to the Ranger board.

Have you seen our OT record this season? I know it means nothing. All of this means nothing. So having a bad PK right now means nothing to I presume?

Right, one game that went 3 overtimes. That's not averaging 35 minutes a night. McDonagh or Girardi have never averaged more than 27 minutes per game in the playoffs.

A little know fact - the games are only worth points if the other team's fans agree. So yep, completely worthless.

In McDonagh's first playoff experience ever? The same Mcdonagh who Boychuck leads in ever facet statistically with less ice time? Let Mcdonagh know if he wants to see a Stanley cup ring to drop Boychuck or Leddy a line

I never said they averaged it for the entire playoffs but it can approach that number over a string of games or a series. I think the Kings series went to like 3 double OTs and one regular OT?

Either way I'm just saying that I have faith in Girardi, Staal, and McDonaghs abilities to handle those types of minutes against the ovechkins and girouxs of the league in the playoffs. Leddy doesn't have that type of experience yet is all.

Neither did Mcdonagh at the time and Leddy coincidentally has won a Stanley Cup.

Inferring? I don't see anything leading me to believe otherwise? What makes Mcdonagh a better defenseman right now?

Explain to me why Mcdonagh is a better defenseman than Boychcuk?
