LOL, pens wussy patrol. Physically and mentally weak for a hockey team. - Sell My Monkey
I can think of one hit that mattered. Defensively lost. This team will be shredded if they don't start playing more responsible. |

i love the perron trade. and i wouldnt undue it given the chance. but if this team is still looking for another big addition, i look hard at vermette. i think the cost is likely prohibitive, but man i would like him on this team. - stayinthefnnet
I would trade sutter for vermette or santorelli. Not because of RW's graphs because wtf is the guy? Take ehrsoft with ya. Tonight was embarrassing. Out coached by one of the better ones |

Nothing wrong with a little midseason adversity. Even with all the injuries in the past years the Pens have easily rollwed through the regular season and only had to float from February on... playing some meaningful games, and fighting for thier lives down the strech may help the boys come playoffs. Last time there was a question mid-season whether we'd even make the playoffs or not, we ended up winning the cup!
(Not trying to be over the top optimistic, the team clearly has its flaws presently... but adversity is not a bad thing) |

perrons the only thing on this team that isnt sickening right now. |

You the effin players need to be accountable. .and not sid and geno...they need to play the way they do when sid and geno are out. This team effin coasts with them in....usually they xarry them to wins..but the effin effort needs to be there always. Stop waiting for sid or geno to "change" the game. Go out and change the game yourself. |

This is why I disagree with Mr Wilson. Grit and size does matter come crunch time. I'm not saying that you need to employ goons on skates but you need guys willing and able to play physical hockey.
The Caps, Rangers, Blue Jackets, Islanders, Bruins and basically every Western team know they can physically beat us into submission.
The guys we do have that are willing to play a tough brand are just too undersized. |

Sill you gutless female... Losing 4-0 in a game that is over and you let Ovi run you. He should've been getting a couple shots to the head but I expect nothing else from this team. |

He plays by another set of rules. Charging doesn't apply to him. - lloyd095
He would lead the league in penalty minutes if they ever called charging on him. Every hit he makes is a charge. |

He did look good, but he was one of the only ones who did in that game. Biggest thing that was apparent was that the pens didn't seem to want to work in this one. Letang did nothing to tie up his man on the third goal as an example. It's like they fold when they have to work hard. |

Well said. Look at the run Columbus gave with Boone Jenner n folignio last yr. Guys with hands and shoulders. Goc didnt belong and as the deadline approaches im thinking neither does ehrhoff. Tonight was rough but i gave him the benefit of the doubt to start. He makes 4m. his best days were in VAN. that tom wilson wilson guy and Adam lowry last night r making names off of us. PATHETIC |

Meh... It's not the system, it's the players. It takes time for systems to become second nature. Plus, they still refuse to put the puck on net instead of passing. I'll say this however. I do not like the D jumping up so much. Some of these guys aren't capable and should just play a simple game.
In a perfect world we would have gotten an experienced coach. Too bad there wasn't much out there.
Oh and by the way, Hoff couldn't hit the ocean with his toe's in the water. WTF. - madmike71

So Pens suck, I don't care 71 and Comeau are out.
Martin is old, Kuni is old, both looked slow.
Bortz sucked, Sutter is weak, BB is weak, not a top 6.
Its the Caps, national TV, step up your game. This team won't make it past the 2nd round. Coach shouldn't matter at this point.
Still don't think you can ice a complete team with 87 and 71. |

Wow what a great idea trading the teams best faceoff guy for a useless goon, great trade so far, lapierre impacted the game in exactly zero ways. Speaking of useless I'm so sick of seeing Sutter coast around the ice, hapless swinging his stick at the opposing teams puck carrier. Putting hornqvist with sutter was a terrible move, to be effective hornquist needs to be in front of the net waiting for a pass or tapping in a rebound. Sutter never has the puck so he therefore never shoots or passes. I think botterill moved the wrong centre yesterday. Time for a blockbuster of sorts to right this ship before it sinks. I propose Sutter, Kunitz, Scuderi and next years second to Arizona for vermette, doan, and yandle. Bortuzzo, this years 4th and next years third to Vancouver for zach kassian. And craig Adams, jaiden lindo and a 6th for Drew Stafford. Inject some new life into this lineup and some actual hard work and effort. |

Dan's wondering where this attitude was the last couple years.
I saw that gif and thought of you immediately.
Anyone interested in watching 2 good teams play a hockey game tonight should flip to LA/Chi, great game so far.
That one I just watched is already erased from my memory, (frank)ing pathetic. I hope Trotz was at least a gentleman and left his phone number on MJ's nightstand. |
