Petro was good last night. I say that because at no point did I have to say "omg Petro what the f...." He played his game and ultimately made a smart play that led to him getting an assist on the winning goal. Sometimes that's what you have to do. He doesn't look like a kid out there anymore. |

I'd be surprised if DT makes any meaningful trade. Sure he might trade ufa's for picks but that's about all. To get you have to give and he's not willing to part with any descent prospects. He was quoted yesterday as saying he was happy with his defense despite the fact he just put a guy who basically played all year on wavers. Go figure. To be a factor guys like huberdeau, gudbranson and Barkov are 2-3 yrs away |

Problem is there isn't anyone available worth anything. Who do you target? We would be completely foolish to trade any one of Huberdeau, Barkov, Bjugstad, or Gudbranson right now. However, we could look at guys like Trocheck, Grimaldi, Rau, Matheson, etc.. as trade pieces. I again ask, though, who is available? Trading the hot air like Fleischman and Upshall would be the best thing to do RIGHT NOW. In a month or so, closer to the deadline, if we are in the mix, then we seriously look at making a splash. |

If you believe everything you read there's plenty out there now and at the deadline. But to get you gotta give. What do you think you'll get for guys like rau and the others you mentioned? Those guys besides trochet are 3-5 yrs away. Trocheck is stuck on a team who has 2 top centers and he can't get in the lineup. He's not a forward. Our depth at forward is not really that deep if you look at it seriously. As we all know we need a goal scorer and and dominant dman |

So does every single team in the league. I agree we need to make trades but no one on our top two lines will get traded. Boyes MAYBE. |

So much for packaging Olsen in a trade, nobody wants him for free |

And what would that do for us? They got a bargain in Boyes. You "fans" that over value your players and call them untouchable make no sense. I like Huberdeau, that's WHY YOU MIGHT trade him--he HAS a value. If you have such a great farm system (which I agree is above average at this time) you can part with a piece and a pick or two to get us stronger. I would NOT trade for Phaneuf, he's a lazy bum, however I would roll the dice on a Kessel.

I like Kessel as well. And if the right deal presented itself I would trade anyone. Like if, for example of course, Patrick Kane was available |

Kane, sure! BUT, you KNOW you'd have to give a valuable piece (s) to GET that, correct? |

probably to fuel his fire, he lights the lamp more often after he gets scratched. plus to res the legs, we've got a busy road trip. |

it looks like gallant went with the speed groupings for this one |

Luongo gotta be better. 3 goals on 14 shots? Gallant made a mistake this time scratching Hayes. Most coaches don't make roster changes after a win.I'm so tired of the excuse "we started slow". |

The answer to Dan's question: sellers. I don't see us winning these next two on the road. Progress made, but playoffs not.
That's not to say I'm not happy with this season. I mean to go from dead last in the league to mid-pack is something to be proud of. It may take another off season (again), but I think we'll definitely be a playoff contender starting next season. We just don't have the spunk to pull it off right now. |

I think it's quite evident this team needs a pure sniper/goal scorer and until DT gets one they will struggle to score. |

Why not buyers now for players under contract for next season and beyond. We all know free agents aren't signing here under the present circumstances unless we over pay like Bolland and jokinen. Trades are the only way to get good players here. So much for the so-called good locker room guys like Thorton, Mitchell and bolland |

Would you give up next yrs 1st round pick? Might be in the top 10. How about huberdeau, petrovich and 2015 1st round pick for kessel |

Who are you going to target? What's the point in doing that? Never in the history of the NHL has a team not making the playoffs made trade to acquire an elite goal scorer or two for seasons beyond. Moves like that take place at the draft or during free agency. I like Jokinen, Thornton, and Mitchell... Bolland... woof. |
