I think I got one in another thread after but it was like 4 hours or something

I try to behave myself!

There are many times where I have replies typed out and think better and delete it

Nope, you have only 1 ban (and as you noted, it's the light one of 4 hours).

I do the same with replies, quite often. Not even just argumentative posts, but any random stuff I'll type out something and then think to myself "Meh...not needed" and I close the tab.

I feel there could be an interesting, albeit minor, bidding war for Stewart. He's the perfect "type" of player for the western conference in my opinion. I could see a team like Calgary being interested and not because Ek posted it.

I'll borrow yours, because I'm not the type who can judge where guys should go play. Of your reply, swap Neuvirth and Enroth and I also think they retain one of Stafford/Stewart.

The rest who cares (Mitchell is tough to judge with such little action, but no need to let him go anywhere)

- stashu

I thought about it I think at the time we would get more for Ewok and Murray seems to really like Neuvirth.

With Stafford and Stewart I can agree one could resign. I think Stewart is turning around his play and 89 would lose it if Stafford is resigned so keep Stewart even though I haven't had an issue with Stafford in a while.

Stewart has been seen by everyone from playing out West most of his career. I think he would look good in Boston or on the Island.

Out west the Ducks could want his services for a playoff run

Mitchell, Strachan, Neuvirth are all resigning (to give up an office or position, often formally (often followed by from): to resign from the presidency or to submit; yield: to resign before the inevitable?

Or you want the Sabres to re - sign them? (to sign again; especially : to rehire (as an athlete) by means of a signed contract. intransitive verb. : to sign up again.

Just trying to help.
I was confused.

I can't see keeping Neuvirth. I know it may not be his fault each time, but the injuries keep happening to him. Keeping him and the pattern continuing doesn't seem to be a good move.

I'm not a Stafford hater. Like many that have been through this roster, he's been elevated well above his "rightful" line placement. He can be a solid player, and I'm pretty sure he's a decent PKer/2-way guy and scores. He may not be the complete package (Foligno-like where he seems to try to play games that aren't suited for him), but I don't hate him. (hides)

The interesting thing about the Ducks is that, they are winning games when they shouldn't. The announcers are consistently calling them the comeback kids. Selanne's tribute night, they were down 4-0 and won 5-4 in OT. I think they need a better backup goaltender. Andersen doesn't do it for me. I pick him in HBSL because he gets the wins, but his GAA and Save percentage leave a lot to be desired.

Their offense is basically plug-and-play. Whomever they put with Getzlaf and Perry gets a boost in numbers. Kesler has revitalized that second line. Stewart would be a third line player at best out here.

Wow, look what setting a lineup does! Up 90-62 in HBSL.

My opponent either didn't set a lineup or chose poorly. 3 days this week I have matchups of 4v3, 6v2, and 11v1

And of course when I set a lineup, Miller and Holtby cool off...

Which would benefit him the most I think.

Put him on the second PP unit and put him in front of the net, in the playoffs a guy like Stewart (when on his game) hits everything that moves and is built for a playoff run.

I've done this. The delete key is my friend. Seems to be working because as far as I know, I've had 0 Shanabans.

Question:

Speaking strictly only in terms of best fit, not the return we would get for these players, where do you see the best fit for our UFAs if we trade them? The option could be Buffalo as a resigning.

Neuvirth has one thing that Murray likes that Ewok doesn't and its size.

Yes the injuries are becoming an issue I will agree.

Stafford is a who he is, a 45-55 point players on a decent team playing with good line mates. He is not someone that could carry a team (Darcy thought otherwise which is why he gets so much hate)

I definitely agree. It would be hard to move someone down though. Rakell has come into his own as the center. Silfverberg is a staple on the 3rd line now. Cogliano is hard to move down also.

He may end up playing 4th line minutes if traded and all stay healthy.

Teams don't need 2nd liners to "carry" the team though, and that's what Stafford is/should be. That's why I won't fuss if he's retained

I'd resign Stafford at 2-2.5M. It's hard to pay him more than that in my opinion. Perfect 3rd line if he would be more aggressive and can chip in offensively. He can jump up and play top-6 for injury, but he's better suited against lesser competition.

I wouldn't hate keeping Stewart, or pulling a Moulson and bringing him back after the season. Especially if we get a capable center for him or one of Reinhart/Grigoenko works out.

wow, I don't know that's hard to say. Will Armia be ready ?
- SABRES 89

I'm guessing that not all the kids will be here
That would prob be too much youth at once
although at some point, these guys will make there way into the lineup
I'd say Armia & Grigorenko are prob 50/50 to make the team next yet
This offseason should be pretty interesting

With what I heard from Murray this morning, it seems Reinhart is the only one he feels ready. But he could have been talking about last year's draft class alone. I was half listening.

Cap floor would be the issue with having all kids anyways... It seems like we are going to be shipping out some veterans here at the deadline so they'll need some celery coming back. I don't believe anyone on this team is going to get any huge pay raise at the end of this season.
