That last part is also debatable. I think a lot more things need to fall into place before buffalo can start thinking playoffs, let alone cup. Tampa has had stamkos for 4 (?) Seasons now, and theyre just getting it together, after a bunch of other successful drafts. Mcdavid is just the tip of a very arduous iceberg for buffalo. Like i said, middle of a rebuild. Dont see him being happy there

David Pagnotta just tweeted that his sources say that they are trying to clean up the room instead of doing a rebuild.

He is young. I'm still in that young and dumb zone so I feel for the kid. We make mistakes, how he learns and moves on from them will show a lot.

Yeah it's like no matter what they do they're doomed to fail. Stupid move trying to speed up the rebuild, stupid move not trading Dion at the deadline before they signed him, stupid move not firing Carlyle in the offseason, stupid move firing him when they did. It's like everything they do blows up in their face. I just hope they do it right this time but I have zero confidence they will.

in all fairness, we were several years too late when the decision was made to pull the plug and do it right. if you are going to tear it down, bring in a new gm with no ties to the current roster to make the tough decisions.
