I'll be curious when mike does his end of the month blog on the team as to how bad the stats were in Jan.

There's no point in trading Myers right now. He's playing better, and I think the Sabres get more value out of services rendered than any return a team is willing to offer at this point.

You need multiple solid defensemen to be a championship team. However, if this team is ever to become one, someone is going to have to end up being "better" than Tyler Myers.

Every single guy on this team has had moments this year where I end up thinking to myself "What in the hell are they doing out there" including Girgensons.

Some of it comes from pressing too hard to make up for deficiencies across the roster. Some of it comes from the fact that there just isn't enough overall talent on the roster.

Risto let Gaudreau skate right by him. Does it mean he's a bust and we should trade him? No. It means that he's a young player, playing on a struggling team, and he's going to make mistakes. He's not perfect.

Just like Myers isn't perfect. The majority of the defensemen that people keep saying are better than Myers should be better than him. Either they were drafted higher, or have been in the league much longer and have much more experience. I realize he's been around a bit, but he's still only 24 years old. It's not like he's about to fall over the hill to the downside of his career.

I'm sure not good, this can't go on next year. These kids will learn nothing if this keeps going. If Murray can't put this team together he needs to go, i'm not saying it's all him and it's not but this has to change next year, this can't go on for another 2 years.

I keep saying it because I keep reading it on this blog, whenever someone posts about the lineups for next year there are 4-5 kids or more on it. Kids that shouldn't be on a toxic team as of now.

The problem with this is there isn't enough support from his D partner to do that. Most of them have a pretty poopty outlet pass. He needs a guy like Pysyk as his partner.
