The Kings would have to pay a steep price to move Richards, correct. Look around the league at similar deals .. 2nd round picks or good young player/prospect to take a team's baggage. Richard's though is huge baggage in terms of contract.

Teams, like me, are viewing this the same way. Kings may not like it but they'll be lucky to get out from under this.

if he was on the block i could see them even having him fake an injury so he doesnt get hurt and they work the phones hard to move him

I have no idea what is "fair" b/c I don't know the market but it's completely realistic to believe that teams would demand good young assets back with Richards.

Oh there we go .....I forgot DP is a worse contract than MR. I'm no Dion fan but he has much much more value than Richards, IMHO. And the current events seem to be indicating that as well.

Well, Kings management seems to think like me, otherwise the deal would have gone through.
