The only way to acquire that true #1C that we've needed all these years is to DRAFT one. How does doing LA a favour by taking their cap dump centre who is making 5.75m for the next 5 years help our centre situation?

It seems Shanahan will finally try doing a proper rebuild which something we should have done back in 2008 but it's never too late to start. Finally about to get on the right track and you want us to acquire another Clarkson-esque contract?

There will never be "True #1 Centres" available through trade, and if they are they most likely have major flaws which are the main reason they're being moved in the first place.

Mike Richards is NOT a "True #1" centre and is approaching the wrong side of 30. Sure you may able able to throw him with Kessel and get 40-50 points out of him but he is no where close to the player he was when Philly traded him.

Intangibles only get you so far. Just ask Clarkson.

There is nothing really "WRONG" with him. In fact, I would say most give him a pass much faster than others because we all want him to be the new Kesler.

I think Bonino is hurt by the Canucks needing to develop Kassian and it effects his ice time and playing situations.
