exactly... the contract stuff comes in when a player isn't worth the value of his contract (clarkson or lupul cuz he's plays 43 games a year)... i hate his garbage that as soon as someones contract is more than 3 years or over 5 million it becomes some massive detriment... People literally take this to the point of diminishing a guys on ice contributions because he's overpaid x dollars

Agreed, There are not many teams with that space and those that do, don't have the cash. That said, the guy with Salary coming back doesn't necessarily have to be a salary dump, just a guy who would help clear enough space to make a Kessel deal work

If we take back anyone, it'd be a guy with maybe a $4-5m contract who could still step in and help. I'd expect guys like Josi, Hanzal etc.
