sorry but with decent talent on team, bad message for the fans.....

It is what it is. Canes are probably more of a bubble team than a bottom feeder when healthy, but still not strong enough to compete with the big dogs. So it's either try and retool on the fly or admit defeat and rebuild around the talent we've got.

You have the cap room and he can still help the team

That’s November every year. In January/February every year we get red hot. It could still happen, but I think not.

Time to play some the BRI guys if more injuries, Quine, Sundstrom etc. Teams have to meet these challenges, still more concerned with any losses on D since you can overplay forwards more easily than wearing down the D.

No need to bring anyone up yet. If grabovski is ready to go he slots in. Boulton can play on the fourth line if needed and if we lose anyone else for a short time then boulton steps in and the rest move up a slot. While losing Okposo for two months hurts badly, we’ve had hamonic, boychuk, visnovsky all miss time and got through it, and our forward depth is greater than on defense. I do believe we’ll be okay. We’re not a one line team anymore.

Im not panicked by this at all. If we lost another top 6 fwd to injury id be concerned or if it were an injury to our blue line or Halak. We have the depth to overcome this and maybe we will see Lee and or Strome get a shot? Not unhappy to see grabovski slotted in there to start.

Exactly. Im more concerned with Okposo in general than his loss on the team. Hopefully the guy is ok and its not something that will effect his career. It sucks he just turned up his game a few notches but this team has the depth up front. We were just wondering who we were sitting when Grabovski came back. Well now we know.

I'm not panicked either. I just think it's absurd to think that Quine or Sundstrom will see one second of NHL time this year.

I agree. We have the depth! Now we see why Snow's been working the roster with creatively putting players on IR all year. Lol

I fully agree. I always liked Kyle (even when I was frustrated with his play years ago). I hope this isn't anything permanent or reoccurring.

It's so nice to have some depth. For as much as I trashed Snow in the past - he did a hell of a job this summer.

Yes he did and nobody was a bigger critic than me. Not hard to give the guy credit.

Not a 1st line player anymore. I think Grabovski gets the short leash before he throws Strome up there. I hope the former works, because then scoring depth won't be an issue.
