and what is around Richards and Carter (which has nothing to do with the Flyers being he was traded to Columbus) has nothing to do with those cups? I would trade Richards for Simmonds, Schenn and a 2nd rounder that helped get Grossmann and Carter for Vorecek and two picks that became Couturier and Cousins any day of the week.

they obviously would take Carter and Richards and the two cups over Simmonds, Schenn and Johnson any day of the week because they had the depth to move those 3 players to bring in pieces they need. That doesn't mean those moves weren't good for the Flyers as well.
