Random question to a Flames fan, would the Flames consider trading Max Reinhart? What is his rough value?

He will walk into that dressing room and hold that boom box over his head taking over as Team DJ
- DDM-Coga

In a perfect world he does that while in another dressing room far, far away from Toronto Wendel Clarkson walks into a different dressing room and flashes his badge......screaming "CLARKSON, WATER BOTTLE POLICE!!! ARE THEY ALL FULL???? DON'T LET ANYONE TOUCH THEM EXCEPT OUR GUYS OR I'LL LOSE IT".

He actually would do well playing more sheltered minutes behind Doughty and Muzin.
Nothing wrong with Dion, I think most teams would want him at 5.5m vs 7m. Thats just what hurts him is that contract, you are forced to play him as a Number 2 to justify the price of it

I think Dion as a 2nd pairing D would be pretty deadly to be honest as someone who sees him play alot. The reduction in minutes would do him a world of good and you may even see some of the "old" Dion that Calgary had the first few years of his career. He's been nasty to play against the last few games but it's too little too late for him here in the Big Smoke.

Not designed to be a captain nor to be a top 2 D-man.

Solid 3 / 4 guy bordering on high end in my opinion.

He would at least be second pairing in LA no? Maybe even first pairing with Doughty?
- Kinger34

Jake Muzzin is Dion Phaneuf

Just 6 million dollars cheaper

Same Points, and Same style of game

Trading for a guy on waivers would be so Flyers.
- eichiefs9

Doing so allows them to trade Richards again this year. If you waiver claim a guy, I believe you cannot trade them this season. So there is that and if they were going to dump guys anyway and want him back, why not. Doubt it happens though

I'm unaware of these rules you are eluding to that say the dollar amount of the contract dictate where players must play? IN that case Clarkson is suddenly a top line winger in Toronto bumping JVR to 2nd line and 1st PP.......lol

If Richards clears, expectation is he'll be assigned to Manchester (AHL). LA obviously hopes waivers may flush out more trade options.

What team bothers to put in a claim when they can grind the Kings to eat the cap hit in a trade? Sure, you may have to dish out a prospect, but I would rather do that than eat 5 years of his contract at full value right now.

That he is but you can either take that contract on like signing a FA or trade something of value for that contract.

At this point he has very little trade value ...I liked him when he has played for the flames but he seems to be sliding down the depth chart by better prospects ...I honestly see him as a throw in for a bigger deal or he just isn't resigned at all

But because Clarkson takes up the cap room of a top line wing and plays like Peter Worrell, Toronto is handcuffed by price/performance ratio.

Same issue with Letang in Pittsburgh. He's making #1 D money as a number 3 and it's limiting to the slotting of the D. Lots of players being miscast by their cap hit.
