It worked out really well for Richards but that doesn't mean the trade had anything to do with LA winning the cup. Honestly, I don't remember how much Richards contributed in the playoffs that year but would they have still won with Simmons and Schenn? It's usually a pretty dumb argument.

Some Boston fans still claim they won the Kaberle trade because he won a Cup. Anyone with half a brain who watched the games could tell you Kaberle was a hindrance if anything. He just happened to be there when Boston won.
