If he had 1 or 2 years left, I'd say sure why not, what the hell. We at this point in time have nothing to lose. But 2020 is a loooong ways away to have that disaster on this team..or payroll.

So you earn some kind of magic ring when you win a cup? The guy can't play hockey anymore and he has a horrid contract. We have a guy that won a cup and he is about as good as Richards is now. There are other guys that are good leaders that may or may not have won a cup. We will get one or many of them.

He was.

Edmonton couldn't claim him as they were at max contracts. The guy they traded for Roy was waived shortly after he got to Nashville. Had Roy been sent down he still whould have counted 275k on Nashville's books. You can only bury 925k

I'm not sure. I would think not, seeing as he's still on their payroll and such, but I'd have to look at the CBA, which I don't think I'll be doing.
