Really? I was watching Weather Channel at 1:00AM on TV.
Relying on the internet all the time allows faceless, unreliable sources & self-proclaimed know-it-alls to spread rumors and exaggerations.

Like a lot of the people on the site.

If you read the whole post, I think I said they can wait until tonight- canceling 36 hours in advance is silly. Forecasts are wrong all the time.

Northern Jersey will probably get the worst of it - in the area. They always get hit harder than us.

It's the winds that make it really bad. Outside power outages, high speed winds basically make an already bad blizzard seem like the end of the world. In buffalo, there are some days with 30 mph winds all day long and you mix that in with snow and the visibility is shot when driving and all the snow on the ground is flying everywhere constantly. Makes it tough the plow.

I'm in LIC - just outside manhattan. It's a very light powdery snow - they've been salting the roads since last night - temps are supposed to stay below freezing and it's windy. All "good" conditions for a storm that can be cleaned up quick. Not the crap we got Saturday - if we were gonna get 1-2 feet of heavy wet snow, it's a totally different story.

The only people that are afraid of regular season games in January are people that haven't had more important games to be afraid of in recent memory.

Honestly, at this point, given the fact that their is a strong probability that the Eastern Conference playoff picture is pretty much set already, I'll start worrying about things in April.
