I think he's 3rd/4th liner
- PhillySportsGuy

I agree. It's too risky to expect him to be able to center a 2nd line at this point

NMC got voided when he was traded to LA. I doubt anyone takes him on waivers and if they can't find a trade where they eat some cash, they will likely send him to the AHL, per Bob McKenzie & Pierre Lebrun

Thanks.. I back read and found that info.

That's just nuts.. Gonna bury him in the minors. You'd think someone would go after him. Wasn't Nashville looking for a centre before Ribeiro was signed?

Its just so hard to pay a guy who is AT BEST a third line player 5.75 million for 4 years.

And I was under the impression that if he retires, the Flyers are on the hook for the contract since they were the ones who originally signed it?

As a player, he has value, but not much with that contract. If the Kings could move, him, why place him on waivers?
- MJL

Seems like they were getting offered bad/less worse contracts in return. Somewhat like the Umberger/Hartnell deal. Losing him for nothing would be the best situation for them but I don't see it happening.

I'm trying to figure this out:
http://wayback.archive.or...-advantage-recapture-work

So over his 4 years, he was paid $29.6M with a cap hit of $23M per 4 years, having a Cap Recpature of $6.6, which is a Recpature Penalty of $1.32M per year.

After that, I don't know how to calculate the penalty.

There was a special condition to cap recapture that saved the Flyers from this. Thank you #based CBA.
