i dont see edmonton trading nurse. they need him badly. if we sent phaneuf to anahiem, like suggested in the article, we should try to get back Shea Theodore. Theodore and Rielly would make a nice pair in the future

I think it's close. Kessel is a sniper, great player anybody would love to have. Jones wouldn't be made available to just anybody. There could be small adds both ways but suggesting either team has to add significantly is pretty biased.
Would kessel go to Nashville?

I have no idea what kind of process they'll get into or how long it will take. I do know we're not good enough in net, top pairing D and at centre. That's where I concentrate.

Probably the only chip the Leafs have that would get that blue chip future number one d is Kessel, but in a sense they are lucky because right now the Leafs don't need him, while Nashville is on the cusp, and a sniper like Kessel is a nice final piece to go on a couple cup runs...

To balance out money and whatnot, other pieces would be added to Jones. Likely Toronto would have to add a Holzner or someone like that as well. Jones is better than "a roster player", was a 2nd over pick a few years ago, and would be at least our second (if not first) top prospect for our future. Maybe Toronto gets Nashville to add in Colton Sissions, Kevin Fiala or Taylor Beck... And a pick. The add ons would be important to both sides, as there would need balancing done to add someone who makes 8M a year.

I just think to get a young player as good as Jones with as much potential as Jones - you have to make the other team better too... I for one would only be content with seeing Kessel leave if the trade brings someone as highly regarded as Jones as the centrepiece of the deal coming back.
