Oilers should have taken him. I wanted the Leafs to get him pretty bad.and was hoping his injury would drop him down to our spot but didn't expect it.. Was pissed when they took Rielly. I hate drafting Dmen with high picks as they are big gambles, more so than forwards. Most of the elite dmen in the game weren't lottery picks.

i remember thinking the same thing. And you are right, the best dmen in the league have not gone high (exceptions are doughty, pieterangelo, hedman).

he paid me so as to 'jinx me' he said. I didn't want it until the season ended to avoid bad karma..but we were at a bar and i was drunk.

i think that draft is still wide open as to who will end up being the best player. the guys are only 20.. weird because they seem like they've been around for a long time, especially Galch and Yak. personally i still think Ryan Murray could end up being the best of the bunch.

Unless... Phaneuf isn't really hurt and they are just trying to tank even more.

Which of course will backfire when the Leafs perform better without him thus diminishing his already microscopic trade value.

This is true. Voracek has put up Kadri like numbers for half a.decade or so before he finally broke.out this year.

just trade him at the deadline then.
