No, I'm not in the front office - I rely on the scuttlebut from the media 'insiders' just like everyone else. None of them are talking about those big packages; they're talking about the problem contract the Leafs would have to take back in order to trade this 1st pairing defenceman worth 7mill/yr into the next decade.

Yes, Weber could not have possibly obtained more in UFA then Subban did as a mixed RFA/UFA. Like an arc full of animals it would be impossible to ever imagine.

If the Leafs really are going to try to change the core, they lose nothing by getting rid of Bernier. They just have a little better chance at a better pick next year.

i think with a goalie, you're better off waiting and knowing for sure, even if it means paying a bit more in the long run. never sign a goalie based on potential.
