Petter Granberg has been recalled from the Toronto Marlies.

Fan 590

"Two teams who are bidding on Cody Franson are focussed on resigning him long term, which would indicate the return would be far greater than originally expected"

Report; Nothing going to happen... Leafs will keep current roster, beginning with a 10-1-1 stretch, finish 10th in the Eastern conference and miss the playoffs.. It's been foretold

Leave John Shannon our of this, his baritone soothing voice is the reason I tune in
- PeterIng

John Shannon doesn't have a deep voice. Just saying. I assume that's what you meant by baritone. He's more clarinet than anything.

over priced consulatant?
they still have to pay so they might as well listen to what he thinks and in turn learn what not to do

Great allstar game...should have stopped after two periods.

Phil didnt score a point. haha

I figured he is used to pond hockey so he would lit it up. Maybe the top players in the game showed Phil how easy it is to score when they abandon defense too.

- TincupCanuck

I am pretty sure he is very concerned by his performance.

why does everyone assume this is the case always? we've finished bottom 8 3 of 4 years, including this one.

We ain't mediocre, we're in edmonton /buffalo territory (the final standings don't lie..just because for 80% of the seasons we were in a playoff spot...)

Per Friedman, expectation is that Bob Murray & the Ducks are gonna go all-in; looking to add a top-4 D w Cody Franson mentioned specifically

I've been very civilized on this thread all day and do not mean to troll with this upcoming comment.

But.

The Leafs are softer than the Canucks. Physically no. Mentally yes.

aaaaaaahhhhhhhh it feels good to get that off my chest.

- vancity787

Yes, the Leafs are mentally the softest and most gutless team in the league. That is the reason that one or two goals or losses snowballs on them and becomes a lost game or season. They collapse, plain and simple.

Canucks wouldn't exactly rank high on the toughest teams in the league though.

Phil couldn't hit a pass cause he wasn't used to line mates in the proper position

How about Voynov and his issues straight up for Dion.
- PrinceLH

No wy Nonis does this, but I like it.

I think you need *something* else back like Voynov + 2nd. That way, if Voynov is convicted, basically ending his NHL career, you get something for Dion still, in addition to the cap dump of course.

Based on what Perterinf was saying from Dallas I would hope for Richardinson,2nd and a 3rd. I would really try to get Dallas's 1st but they would be stupid to trade it.

From Anehiem if they are looking for a young roster player. DSP, Etem, fowler come to mind. One of them and a pick?

its a game where 30 goals are scored. If we assume an average of 1 assist per goal thats 60 points to go around and Kessel could not get 1 of those.
- twiztedmike

I think that his all star game performance is a much better indication of his talent as a hokey player than the Olympics or the past 5 years in the NHL.

I hope to God we can get a conditional 4th rounder for him if we agree to eat half his salary.

sooo...

NJD, ARI, PHI, NSH, NJD, EMD...

Given the way they dominated Ottawa the last 2 periods and seemed to actually give a poop, Anybody else a bit worried Leafs could go 5-1 the next 2 weeks and (frank) up all this progress towards proper change?

- Badge

That is a huge concern.

We can' help that it will give them a worse pick. We can only hope it doesn't change Shanahan's mind on what needs to be done.

If they get one of the two top picks they won't be a mess. They will have a great young core up front and then you start filling in the holes of bottam 6 with cheap vets to add leadership etc. I think I would trade our mess for theirs.
