bogosian has more value than jvr....defense is overrated? - Lee Denault
No way BoGo has more value than JVR.
That's like saying Bernier has more value than Lack. |

Oldvechkin tossing him on the ice and him doing nothing in the Rematch after the Komorov incident was the end of me supporting Dion as a leader for me. - Byfuglien Ate Me

So for the record, do people think I am incorrect in saying there's a shift and that defense is perceived as more important than offense? - RogerRoeper
You obviously need a good balance, but solid D and great goaltending wins championships. |

I'm glad that abomination is over. Couldn't watch it. Stupid pablum, being force fed to the Yankees and Confederates to the south of us. It's like drinking Nestles Quick, with water and not milk. It's a total waste of a true Canadian's time. |

Dion shadows the oppositions' best players every night and is actually playing a defensive role. I'm not sure why people aren't seeing that.
He's actually the NHL's #1 D-Man in QOC the last 3 seasons. - RogerRoeper
Unfortunately, he's not very good at it!
The fact that he is the Leafs #1 defenceman and faces the other teams toughest competition every game says more about how thin the Leafs defence is then how good a defender Phaneuf is. |

IMO Toronto had lots of talent, but are poorly assembled. JVR and Kessel are both one dimensional yet are your best forwards.
You have 4 fairly one dimensional d men. So 2 have to play together |

I've been very civilized on this thread all day and do not mean to troll with this upcoming comment.
But.
The Leafs are softer than the Canucks. Physically no. Mentally yes.
