Dude it a post on a forum, its what I would love to see, obviously none of this actually happens any more than the LEafs get out of Clarksons contract, it's for fun, the forum was a little dry, now people are talking... Lighten up...

idk. how did Perry, Getzlaf, Giroux,etc. fall down the draft? not saying hes going to turn out like those guys but its amazing and the leafs need to have this happen to them

I think that we get more for JvR and likely Kes too.


I do like Hamonic, but I think that NYI wouldn't give him up.

I think that if we made both openly available (pending NMC/NTC etc) then we could get a bidding war and drive the price up. JvR has a beauty contract, and Kes is one of the best snipers in the game. We know that neither are defensive behemoths, but drop either on a team that has their D set and they'd be magic.

I agree, thats why I enticed them with JVR, would be huge for them where they are in growth. I think Hamonic becomes a very good d man just how i feel watching him... If Nash was willing to add on to that deal that would be amazing, if they were to trade Phil, Nashville seems like the most viable suitor come this deadline, by the draft who knows...

The other thing as well, is TO would gain 6 plus million in space on the Kessel deal, which is pretty sweet...

I do agree that the Leafs will get a huge return for JVR. It's worth looking into.

Although Im confused on what Kessels value is...... I think this makes sense. But the public bashing Kessel has taken over the last couple years makes me wonder if his "WANT" factor is at all where it should be considering how good he;s been.

Torontos media could be the ultimate downfall for this team.

They have a pretty good fanbase considering they're in Tennessee and he wont have to deal with the shyt wit media cyclone like he does in TO.

Fiala is good but another small guy, most of the trades I tried to focus on size to a certain degree, and to me until he shows he can play against men on north american soil I'm not all that into him. If the Leafs had big strong talented prospects he'd be a good addition...
