But a while back i said that i could see the leafs giving up Kadri + to get kane, and i got FLAMED soooooo hard because every leaf fan said "if theres a plus involved its going to be kane+ not the other way around, and that kadri was such a stud and ridiculous that we could possibly undervalue their players especially kadri and that hes better than kane as is in every way"

I didn't suggest that it would, so I agree with you about Kadri not fetching the Leafs a #1 center. That's even more of a reason why putting Kadri on the trading block doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now, especially given the team's weakness up the middle. Top centers are maybe one of the hardest to acquire, because everybody knows they're not exactly a dime a dozen type.

JVR + 1st in 2016 for Sharp + Bickell + 2nd in 2015. Dunno what that would do to the leaf's cap situation, but Sharp CAN play center if need be. If not, he and kessel on a line sucks for the other team.

what ppl fail to see is he has less trade value now then when we acquired him. He was 21 coming off a 36 goal year. His most since is 37 and he's 27. He makes 8 mil for the next 7 years after this. We got him for his best years. He's been dam consistent but hasn't blown his boston numbers away. His best years are now; he is a 35g 80 pt guy who is completely 1 dimensional in every aspect. he will start to decline soon if not now (offensive guys tend to tail off after 27-28). He' s no gym rat so let's say safely he doesn't justify his deal after 2-3 years from now.

PPl need to get over what we gave for him. We aren't getting a hamilton/seguin back. WE may get 2 1sts and a 2nd...but they will be from a good/contending team hence lower picks. He needs to go and that doesn't mean he isn't an elite PIECE, but he is not building block.
