I guess it's important to have a week break in the season just because of how brutal the 82 game grind is and since players aren't paid to participate in the event its literally just revenue pouring into the league. This event and game is here to stay.

What's the significance of having the title all star when players who haven't been the top players in the league get it too? The pro bowl is so much better because of that. When commentators talk about a player and mention he has 5 pro bowl appearances, it means something.

From what I remember it was a ridiculously bad call on top of it. All players do it to an extent. Sometimes you can even label it as a "good play" but that call was lame ass shat. Cant remember who it was but remember being like wtf?
