That one is the best.

I don't know. Seguins deal is looking really nice right now too.

Nash's contract is looking like a steal now compared to Patty Kane and Kessels. Will probably look like a steal compared to JT's next $11M a year deal too.
- rangerdanger94

He keeps producing at this measly PPG pace he's not getting that

Tavares should have fired his agent the day after he signed that contract. Actually the day before probably would have been a better idea.

He didn't show as much point production wise of course at the time he signed that. It was a little bit of a risk for Snow with his consistency or I should say lack there of.

Meh it's pretty comparable to what high end talent gets after their ELCs are up. Can't really compare his contract to Dubi's.

He signed his deal at $5.5 I believe. Seguins deal is just over that as is halls which makes sense when you factor in inflation.

apparently Brian Elliott is an all-star but the Blues never think he is good enough for them

Be thankful it isn't Lundqvist. Let our guys relax. No need to be playing in this thing. I voted all Pens, Isles, and Devs

oh yeah, I am extremely thankful Lundqvist is staying home.

With the Olympics and finals run last year he played about 100 games, all-star game just a ridiculous shooting gallery. NO THANK YOU. Rest for the next cup run.

I would have put that Winnipeg rookie goalie in all-star game over Elliott though

If tavares doesn't take that contract, hes still on a losing bottom feeder. Pieces they've added like halak leddy and boychuk are what put them over the top. He's probably ok with winning on a decent second contract as opposed to getting paid a ton on a perennial loser. This isn't the nba

I'm sure Snow sold him what his plan was. He actually said something along those lines after he signed. He knew he'd get his pay day the second time around. They won't break up these guys it's a pretty tight room been through a lot.

"Okay JT, we're gonna go ahead and try to lock up Amac long term. We're gonna trade your best bud Moulson for Vanek and then offer him over $8M a year. We're confident he'll accept. The lighthouse project, that thing is as good as done. Also, well target some veteran blueliners in a few years through free agency like Dan Boyle. We think he'll accept. Overall, I think our plan is pretty fullproof. "
