Petry is playing for the Oilers.

Guess you wouldn't be interested in Taylor Hall either, since he's a career -30?

Emelin is so overpaid it's not even funny.

- Pecafan Fan

Point is Marty, Petry for Emelin does not make the Habs d any better, softer maybe.

Also, they're all overpaid..

Of course there is.

But honestly, I wouldn't discard a player because of his stats when he plays on this edition of the oilers. They're simply terrible as a team.

That doesn't mean the individuals can't be productive elsewhere.

David Perron has as many goals in 8 games with the Pens that he had in 38 with the Oilers.

I know...but still, I think Petry's only upside is that his deal ends after this year...whereas Emelin's continues for a few years.

I haven't watched a Habs game in a few weeks, been away/busy... so I'm a bit surprise at all the Emelin hate... I didn't think he'd been playing that bad...but again,...haven't seen the last few weeks...is it worse than before?

This would've been hilarious if that number had been zero.

I just watched a clip with Mark Brunell and Jerome Bettis saying 2 lbs of pressure makes all the difference in the world.

But they were caught doing it before...THIS YEAR. http://www.sbnation.com/2...riots-regular-season-game

Balls are checked 2 hours before the game; sometime after that and before kickoff, someone in the Pats organization let out 2 lbs of air in 11 of 12 balls. Who cares if they reinflated them at halftime?

The league clearly doesn't give a poop; the message is clear: New England can cheat all it wants. Until the punishments start involving forfeiture of wins or something like that, they aren't going to stop. Would you give a poop if you had to give up a 1st round pick or a $500k fine but you got to play for the Superbowl?

- 3M

Well if it makes all the difference in the world shouldn't they have scored more with the deflated balls?

Petry walks away in July and Tinordi steps in to replace Emelin's "physical" spot.

Well, one team was playing with deflated footballs until at least halftime (it's been unconfirmed if they were reinflated from what I saw), and one team was not. Can you guess which one had more points at halftime?

Yeah, I'm aware of that.

also shouldn't the NFL check balls and then not give them to the team but rather let the official put a ball into play?

do the teams bring their own balls?

I'd just as soon see a trade to make the team better, not for cap relief for next year.

At this point anyway.

Well if it DOESN'T make that big of a difference, why bother?

Same thing with the tapings...if it provides no advantage, why go through all the trouble?

And what's to say they aren't doing anything else to gain an unfair advantage? And with all that, I'm still rooting for them to beat the Seahawks...

understandable.

it was probably still simmering from the prior game when someone wound up to take a slapshot at him and he didn't do anything about it.
