Probably not a 1st rounder so no need to tank to land him.

Blackhawks and Pens at 8, I may have to check that out. And then again, if its Regis and Doc.. I may have to mute it.
- Doc_Sarcasm

since I get stuck watching Islanders games on center ice, I usually get stuck with the other team's broadcast.

worst homers in the league? Pens, Jets, Hurricanes.

it's disgustingly one sided to the point that you wonder how people that stupid can actually feed and cloth themselves.

Want a real deterrent? Fine the poop out of teams that employ these (frank)ing clowns.
- Jsaquella

You had to know that with the death of the goon these morons would take a bigger bite out of the game. If people hated fighting they're going to love the extra minutes that these reckless marginal players are going to chew up on the airwaves.

Instead of that horrible goon fight on the screen how about a crushed skull, broken arm, slew foot of the night. They've always been there but now they have the spotlight and more of these bubble players with a little skill and a bad attitude are going to make their way onto more and more teams. He plays on the edge BS.

You left out Boston. I'll assume you leave the sound off.

I cannot stand Jack Edwards. Also, Pittsburgh. They make me appreciate Jim Jackson (well.. not quite, but almost).

ooohhhh, yes you are correct.

*edit* although when what's his name went apesh!t over the puck hitting the netting and then having the bruins scored on a minute and a half later that was pure gold.

Not only that, but the bigger problem I'd say is the Xarelto he's on.

That's poop's no joke. You have hemophilia lite when you take that.

I just can't see any way he gets medical clearance to play

I can't believe that you didn't list the Boston Homers... Brick and Edwards are THE worst.. bar none.

Its such a shame, he wants to win a Cup here as bad as anyone, but its just not going to happen. Long term health is more important.

I like Jim Jackson. I've been lucky this year as the Flyers games on centre ice now tend to be the FLyers feed.. for years it was always the opposition team feed.

Why would the league really want to do anything about this? Hits like Rinaldo's just give the league more exposure, get people talking. Any press is good press. Not that I agree.

See that now man.. I just had to chime in..Edwards said that Cooke being nominated for the masterton was the same as nominating Bin Laden.

I think at this point they are probably looking for second opinions, because Timonen really wants to play out his contract and end career on his terms.

I agree it's not a risk I'd want to take.

- Jsaquella

It is ridiculous at this point. Time to call it a career.

If it is over, I hope they allow him to dress for one last warmup or something like that so the fans can honour him. Total warrior.

if youre out there on the ice and not suspecting a hit shame on you even kimo timmonen has conveyed same sentiment.
- JoeRussomanno

That's what I was mentioning earlier...I distinctly remember how pissed he seemed in the dressing room after the game. Partially because of the gongshow that was going on, and partially because the hit (or cheap-shot, or it may have even been a fight) came from a source that he didn't anticipate. Because of that, he was also disappointed in himself for 'letting his guard down'...

As far as the 'tradeoffs' go any time a third or forth liner can score 'qunicies' or better with a first or second liner/1 or 2 dman, that is a beautiful thing. Scuderi should be applauded by penguins fans for eliminating the threat of Voracek for as long as he did. (And although I can admit I was happy to see Voracek go) If you happen to be a flyers fan, having one of your top guys disappear to the room while another key player serves his time should be infuriating.

I have a lot of respect for kimmo. I'd like to see him play again but I don't think he's making a good decision trying to get in there now.

My brain says he won't be back, but I think he wants to find the risks, and if they are negligible, i think he might just try it. I just wish we had a better team.. with this D corps, we aren't going anywhere, so why come back?

For all the uproar, I really expected more from this hit...

It was a stupid play, his teammates should be mad, but I thought I'd be seeing a flying elbow into Letang's skull or something. (was trying to catch up on some Homeland...I stupidly assumed the lifeless Flyers were going to be in the building again tonight.)

Edit: Hopefully Letang is ok, just a little woozy, no concussion.

-After the play
-From behind straight into the numbers
-Offender left his feet
-Player was injured and did not return

This hit is begging for a long suspension. Especially if they weigh Rinaldo's comments on the hit at all.
