He really doesn't, the Caps have played a wide-open system for years and that has exposed there Dman bc lack of F's back checking to help, now with a more discipline system w/Trotz, I believe he's having a better year. Now grant it, I might say bc of his injuries that he might not engage as much in the hitting department and maybe doesn't want to get reinjured before he becomes a FA? - Ur Not Me
It's just what I've noticed in the playoffs when we played them like 3 years in a row. When healthy, crush him with hits every game and by game 3 or 4 he's invisible again. |

Methot would take a lot to acquire bc he's solid.... - Ur Not Me
Methot would be another solid UFA addition of the Sens can't keep him. Similar to Michalek in the sense that he doesn't provide much offensive upside but he's reliable, consistent, experienced, and can eat up over 20 minutes a night against top forwards. |

I wouldn't call Michalek a 3rd pairing defenseman. He can log 22 minutes a night and play consistent, reliable, shutdown defense. He has limited offensive upside but you're not going to win a cup with 6 Erik Karlssons as your blue line. You need some guys like Michalek who can eat up minutes and shutdown the opposition. - rangerdanger94
He would be on isles w/Boychuk & Hamonic on team..... Not saying he is, but u said if isles retained Boychuk..... |

Forget where I read it last night, but there was an article (from a legitimate source) that said Murray expected to be busy at the deadline. Considering they're currently sitting 10pts out of a wildcard spot I think it's fair to assume he'll be busy as a seller. |

They were talking about it during the Ranger game the other night that he plans on busy during the deadline. I don't know how busy he'll be really being that he's pretty much dying in a hospital bed as we speak? |

Really? Don't go there, first off cancer patients don't just turn off their lives, thats how you lose. Second do you honestly think he is alone in calling shots in Ottawa, I am sure they are working as a group and keeping him as involved as he can be during treatment. |

Oh stop. That's pretty much what was said verbatim during the broadcast I wasn't saying it to be rude. The guy is in bad shape. He isn't alone in calling the shots of course he has assistants but he does most of the decision making and proposals which was also stated in the broadcast as well. As far as cancer patients turning off their lives they said he was in a hospital bed in an ICU. He's not sitting at home on meds with an IV working the phones. |

I mean the entire Ottawa Senators front office does not only consist of Bryan Murray. I'm sure due to the sh!tty circumstances he has long been grooming someone to be his replacement, who I'm sure is capable of managing the deadline. |

90 % of the time they don't have their goalie do it. I just feel like he is burning him out. Like many of his decisions I just don't like it. Play Chad or bring someone else in ... (I am scared to death of a Nabby type melt down like last year). - niteislander
I'm not worried about Halak being "tired". Most starting goaltenders like playing every day. What I'm worried about is him getting injured, and us having Tweedle-sh*tty and Tweedle-sh*ttier playing goal while he's out (like the Flyers have right now). That's far more of a concern to me. |

Boychuk isn't getting a $50M deal. He'll get similar to what Staal just got: about $5.8M per for about six years. He'll get close to $40M and if he gets that kind of offer from the Isles, I think he'll take it if he really does like it with the Isles. - Jethro09
That's what I was thinking- $6.5-7M, for 5-6 years. That said, the Flyers really f***ed up the market by signing -47 for all that coin, so you never know. |

I didnt realize he was sick until I heard Rosen and Michiletti talking about it the other night. Didnt sound like hes doing to great. I hate the all-star game and how I have to wait to watch another game. Losing my mind. |

Take off your cranky pants and watch the all-star game. It's better than 98% of the rest of the hot garbage that's on television |
