Oh I see what you meant. Still, hometown team is always going to have the most people actively voting. Remember when Komisarek was an all-star starter?

I'm aware Montreal is a different beast, but still.

totally agree with that!!!!

Just met a new hire from Boston. He found out I was an Islander's fan. ....

"Boychuk turned that team right around."

me: This is why Boston fans are unsufferable. This team has gotten better every year for the last 3 years. We finally sign a goalie, 2 forwards, and 2 d-men to add to our young Core of talent and the Boston guy just assumes it was "Boychuk, who turned that team right around..." amazing.

seriously? I didn't particularly enjoy the movie, just felt like it was part of something else and left some story lines hanging (what happened to the brother?)

I can't be critical of the movie because why?

- Isles_since_6

I don't think anyone would bother u about asking what happened with other story lines. You can buy the book it was a great read. The people who are being critical of the Person, Snipers, or the military in general are the ones that most are having issues.

He is a key piece of their recent success. Just sayin'.

He has certainly added to the sucess but he has also missed about 15 games with injury and for an idiot to assume he is the sole purpose we are doing well this year it just idiotic. I am happy to have him but this team would be doing very well without him too. We were very good the last 2 years when we had a goalie.

I just get annoyed that NO ONE remembers we were in the playoffs a year ago. Even the NHL network has us not being a playoff team since 2006.

that's exactly why I ripped daniel friedman for suggesting they should play a best of three series during all star week. No one wants to watch that.
- Isles_since_6

I always liked when the Stanley Cup champion used to play an All Star team...too many teams unless the champ plays each conference...

i was referring to michael moore calling chris kyle/snipers a coward

Moore is one of the most disgusting people on the planet.

A lot of people view that as a fluke due to the shortened season. Given how poorly they did last year I'm inclined to agree.

It doesn't matter anyway. The team is doing great now. They are getting the credit they deserve. If they make a deep playoff run then the media will be singing a different tune. Winning cures everything.

I'm indifferent. If they're going to stop hockey for 5 days, it's nice to be able to watch something. The most enjoyable part is seeing everyone relaxed and acting goofy. I wouldn't bat an eye if they cancelled it but as long as it's on TV I'm going to watch it, no matter how terrible it is.

The only thing I like about it is giving these guys a break.

Had to be mostly in the arena, though- how else do you explain that? Voracek had 6 points, and Tavares had 4 goals. All that kid did was wear a football jersey during the skills competition that apparently gave every male in Columbus a chubby...close as they'll get to real football...THE Ohio State University....yeah, and in the NFL, 90% of their players get beaten out by division 3 guys and grocery baggers.

Wow! The defending champs. There would have been a time when I think he would have been a useful addition, but I think his salary is no longer justified by his level of play. Unfortunately, his gutsy style lends itself to injury. Still, if healthy, he could only help with our pathetic PK.

Can he stop pucks from going into the net for 15-20 games? Other than that, the help wanted sign is thankfully turned off.

I'm just not sure a game with no checking and d helps the NHL promote the game?

Okposo not at practice with an upper body injury and rumors were on Twitter before the break that he needed emergency eye surgery. Waiting for more info but I hope it's nothing that serious.

Dan, any word on what's ailing Kyle? I didn't see the flyers game so I don't know if he got hit in the eye or if it's just a baseless rumor.

It was a rumour going around from a few trolls on Twitter that was dismissed due to where it was coming from, but with Okposo not at practice after a week break I'm concerned. Losing him for a while would be a big blow.

Would not be good but i don't think it'd be that monumental depending on how long of course? Him not being at practice is not a good thing.

He's out 6-8 weeks. The unsubstantiated rumor is emergency eye surgery. (frank)kkkkkkkk
