They just voted for him because he wore the football jersey yesterday....they're probably five more losing seasons away from becoming Les Nordiques, part deux. |

Did not even watch the game. Was the final 50-49? |

It's in the planning stage right now. I really want to find a way to make it work so possibly a little later this season. A playoff game would be amazing but I don't think those tickets will be easy to come by this year. - Isles_since_6
I hope you can make it happen!

now if we could just get Bergeron from the Bruins we may have that forward we wanted to play with JT |

I see Ek has the Isles and Rangers in an arms race. Going to be real tough with the Rangers Cap situation. |

I don't understand why. The Isles aren't in desperate need for anything. They are a young team that can be together for years. Other than a backup goalie, I don't see the Isles making a move unless they are getting the better end of the deal. |

I could also see them looking for another depth defenseman for cheap. That way they can bury Strait in the minors, because who in their right mind would claim him off waivers. |

I also do not see the Isles needing to do something big. |

True. The whole thing comes off as a joke though. 17-12? How can you have a hockey game without checking? |

that's exactly why I ripped daniel friedman for suggesting they should play a best of three series during all star week. No one wants to watch that.

Sounds like it was voted for by the people in the building....so they really didn't have to have the game at all to decide the MVP. - dcb1
i find that very hard to believe. |

I'd rather it be a joke than see anyone, especially Tavares or Halak, get injured. It would be an absurd reason for guys to miss time. |

Fan voting decided the MVP. So essentially it was a popularity contest and, not surprisingly, the hometown boy won. |

No question about that. I'm fine with no All-Star games. I know a lot of people like them though. |

I'm indifferent. If they're going to stop hockey for 5 days, it's nice to be able to watch something. The most enjoyable part is seeing everyone relaxed and acting goofy. I wouldn't bat an eye if they cancelled it but as long as it's on TV I'm going to watch it, no matter how terrible it is. |

The break may be good for the game. It gives the players a little time to heal and recuperate. I'm not going to watch the game and I couldn't care less as long as no one gets injured. |

one of the major reasons for the all star is also to help promote the game. but as a hockey fan, i agree from the standpoint that if there are no injuries, its a success |

Oh I see what you meant. Still, hometown team is always going to have the most people actively voting. Remember when Komisarek was an all-star starter?
I'm aware Montreal is a different beast, but still. |
