Add Cristiano Ronaldo to that list.

Reporter: "why do you think so many people hate you?"

Ronaldo: "because I'm richer, more talented, and better looking than them."

- RAGSareDANGERus

Yeah, but he's a huge douchebag, so that at least knocks him down a bit.

Plus, he plays soccer, so he doesn't count.

I can only handle so much talk about Tom Brady's balls. Especially because I hate him so much and he's back in the super bowl.

What about the stud muffin/freak in the steroids alternative ad on the side of the page?

What is that? Can he play bottom 6? Pun intended.

Sorry I took the train back to Gayville.

Neither Goc or Chipchura are going to provide any offense at all.
- hardnosed

Chipchura is on a 20 point pace playing with a guy on pace for 2.

If you can get 20ish points out of a 4th line guy, you're doing fine.

Doesn't matter, it's only football. Not a real sport. Bunch of fat guys falling on each other 120 times a game with 30 second rests in between.

I'd love to have him. Sekera - Klein would be a hell of a 3rd pairing.

How about Lindberg and a 2nd?

- RAGSareDANGERus

I'd take a decent look at that, yep.

You should feel confident because when Sather wants something he's willing to pay for it (see MSL trade). And he really wants Sekera.

You should be scared because when Sather makes a trade, he usually rapes the other GM. See McDonagh, Klein, Brassard, Nash.

Would Sekera be a rental? No way he signs next year after signing Staal.

Rental with Skjei turning pro next year and John Moore and Hunwick in the system. There was talk about Sekera being a potential Staal replacement but that's not an option anymore.

I seem to remember Sather as being the guy that brings in Wade Redden, Chris Drury and Scott Gomez to 10+ year, 100 million dollar deals?

I guess he'd have to be. Canes are trying to re-sign him but things seem to be dragging longer than one would like. If he's not signed in a month he's gone to the highest bidder.

Funny. I was just thinking about those 3 deals not 30 seconds ago.

Thing with Sekera is that his cap hit is so low he could plug into virtually any line-up in the league.

Sather has this weird thing where he doesn't like to pay the guys he drafted, but isn't shy about spending money to get what he wants out of Free Agency.

In fairness, I don't think anyone could have predicted what happened with Redden. He was a premier defenseman for a long time before that deal.

I'm reading this post but all I see is 2 buyouts and McDonagh.

Reddens cocaine habit went downhill real quick. Sather has the ability to drop that money on UFAs because he's so cheap with his own players.

The only thing more baffling than the Gomez contract was the return they got for him.

Makes me feel good about the Lecavalier deal and the prospect of trading him.

Drafting Jessiman, dumping Leetch after decades of service.

Just saying every GM has some head scratchers.
