"Stafford is a player with good size and strength who possesses excellent hockey sense. While he is listed at 200 lbs. he looks to be a bit on the thin side. He possesses very good hand-eye coordination along with a long reach. Stafford is a player who has the ability to really step up his game and plays very well at both ends of the ice. He’s an excellent skater with good hustle and acceleration. His play along the boards and in the corners is also quite good, with the ability to grind things out. He maneuvers very well around opposing defensemen, at times making some highlight reel moves. He’s willing to drive to the net and is able to create havoc around it. He can deliver as well as take the punishing checks and doesn’t shy away from the physical aspects of the game. He sees the ice and anticipates remarkably well. He possesses some nice hands and good passing ability. His awareness both offensively and defensively allows him to play in any situation. His outstanding work ethic hasn’t gone unnoticed either."

Lawson Crouse: "A big-bodied power winger with the ability to physically dominate, making him a prominent forechecking presence every night. Possesses good hands that can be used to make crisp passes or to let loose accurate, NHL-level shots; paired with his strength and skating ability, his skill set allows him to contribute offensively, as well as create space for teammates."

Do the Sabres need this guy? If he comes exactly as advertised, do you draft him, say... 16th?

- TheSabresTaco

I'd draft him at 16 but there's talk of him potentially going as high as 5 or 6, that's where i'd avoid him.

We have enough picks to do that, I agree. As long as they don't do anything stupid like trade Myers for ROR and then have to pay him 7 mill a year. ROR isn't worth the money.

I think we all know my position re: ROR.

I can see him being an extremely effective NHL player, which I think is the point of the rankings. As far as being effective for THIS team, I think our priorities are much higher with offensive dynamos..guys like Ehlers..Barbashev..

I don't get why any team would hire him as a assistant head coach after being known as a guy in Cuse and Buffalo who had to have controle over everyone and everything even his GM.. Have fun with the infighting and power plays jags

Not sure how he's going to be an assistant head coach. He doesn't seem to be able to get along with anyone. I also would suspect that the Jags O-line will be terrible this year.

"Well, no one wanted me to be an on-field czar, so they said my only chance to coach would be to go to football no man's land and be somebody's female dog. Oh, I also get to teach an offensive line, and I'm justified because my OL got worse over consecutive years."

Just spoke with Baker. He's going to be making a tier list with the top 30-40 prospects and believes regardless of our other 2 firsts, they will be high quality players.

Naturally he will bench the best players because of his personal beef with them. Then advise the coach to punt.

player x

Talent Analysis

player x is a solid all around talent. He does not possess blinding speed, or flashy moves, but he tends to get the job done. He has developed into a fine two-way player. Player x is an extremely smart player who uses all of his skills in both ends of the ice. Excellent skater, very strong on the puck, can quarterback the powerplay. Player x has very good hands and excellent on ice-vision.
Future

He has first-line talent but has been injured, and could be problematic to sign.

player y

Talent Analysis
A tough, defensive-minded player that can make the long pass out of his own zone. He has a hard shot and takes pride in finishing his checks. He has improved his offensive game to a respectable level, and did not look out of place in a scattering of NHL games last season.

any guesses?
