I think the canes are safe to stay ahead of us

once jordan staal got back, the special teams are clicking, esp pk

solid goaltending

honestly if they could dump semin (I said dump semin ), they would be ok moving forward IMO
esp if they can lock up sekera

they have depth in prospects in their own end

I think the Yotes are our biggest competition for the basement. Luckily they are 6 points ahead with 2 games in hand.

And the technology age has nothing to do with it. One's job and/or technical ability, or lack thereof neither qualifies nor disqualifies anybody's statements. You don't need a very high IQ to see that others are doing things better, much better. And as a paying consumer, there's nothing wrong with demanding that your organization strives for that, whether you work in front of a computer, or clean streets for a living.

I know , now you are going to tell a man as experienced and as old as I am after raising all 6 of my children and watching (all of their friends and cousins) grow up that the technology age is not lazy?

Okay, you really are indeed a piece of work.

Laziest generation I have seen yet.
Not to mention how disrespectful your generation is as well.

I mean after all, us parents discipline our kids we know you guys will call the cops on us for abuse.
Back in our day, we got beat with whatever was near our parents/grandparents to utilize and we took it.

poop, in school principles had 3 foot perforated paddles in their closets to use on us and were allowed to.

There is a HUGE disparity between our generation and yours/my children's in so many ways.
Your generation is beyond lazy while I (our generation) was working in the family owned store at 9 years old getting paid with packs of sports cards, not sitting with my face buried in my electronic device.

Like I said my children go from 30 - 16 and each one of them knows they could never nor ever want to keep their Dads pace.
Each one of them know their generation is lazy, they admit it.

Pure comedy I tell ya.

Suppose I buy this argument wholesale (which has some merit, but not completely), that still doesn't answer my original question. Even the laziest person alive can distinguish that certain people are better at their jobs than others. It's not rocket science.

And you're making an awful lot of assumptions about my background. I'm not one to spill my personal life on a public forum, but let's just say I also know what it's like to grow up in a really big family, larger than one with six kids. Do we have our lazy moments? Sure. However, ultimately, we figured out how to work smarter as a family, as well as harder. And even our parents admit that.

Your generation isn't perfect. Your generation has made its share of mistakes too, as has every generation, in which the next one pays for it. It's been the case for all of human history. Mine has too, and our kids will pay for it.

There are very few things that are universal in life.

1) Everyone thinks things are worse now than they were x years ago

2) Everyone thinks the current generation is worse than the previous one.

Neither are true. Your father said the same thing about your generation, as did his father.

I think they've turned it around. The numbers said all along that they were better than their record. That said, they are still essentially tied with us so I guess they would have to be considered dangerous. They seem to be trending in the right direction but (as we know) that can be temporary.
