I don't know what it is but Hodgson is a huge disappointment, he seems to have no urgency, get-go, for a highly touted first round pick. I think Nucks/Sabres did that trade hoping a change would be good for both players.

I can't ever see Hodgson/Stafford dishing anything out, eh it's all fun I guess, you certainly never can tell what is going to happen with the current roster.

People forget how bad Zadorov looked preseason, and that the Sabres had every intention on sending him back to juniors until he and his agent held a gun to the team's head.
- buffalofan19

Every time you say Zadarov and his agent held a gun to the Sabres' head it makes me wince.

That is not what happened. He didn't threaten to excercise an option, he had no control over the situation. It was the KHL team that threatened to exercise their rights to his contract if he was not assigned to the NHL.

An outside entity threatening to exercise its rights over him is NOT the same as him threatening to exercise his own rights.

At least Stafford has shown some signs of life in his career and can get hot, Hodgson can't skate and is lazy. Now he has lost his hockey mind, not a good combo, slow and unintelligent.

Its still a shatty situation. Cant imagine he was gonna get much better in london. Dont want him going to russia- even if the khl is in shambles. Hes not ready for the nhl yet. Kids got so much potential, should be developing it in rochester. Would love to see him work in rochester for a year with slava fetisov or something, problem is hes working at a high level with the khl.

It's one thing to acknowledge its a poopty situation: it's a different thing to blame Zadarove for creating it.

They can't take on Myers with only 2.4 in cap space, I think that's the figure. We would have to take back Richards and either flip him or keep him. 10 mil in centers between Richards and Hodgson is a lot if you ask me. The Kings need D and we might have them over a barrel. IMO it will cost them Toffoli to get either Myers or Yandle, Murray won't settle for less and he shouldn't. We have a piece in Myers that we don't have to move, Murray hold all the cards.

Honestly, if the problems on his end, its his agent- who would be doing his job. I suppose the irony is that he would be trying to force his way onto the team, when it seems like at least 10 guys have canceled their cable and packed their bags in hopes of getting traded.

I would trade Toffoli in a heartbeat to land Myers. I hope its a Toffoli ++ if we get rid of Myers.

I like Toffoli but the offer would need to be more like you said, we don't have to move Myers. I found out last night the Kings were interested.

I don't watch LA much but I've seen them live 2 or 3 times over the last couple years and Toffoli wasn't noticeable at all. He is still young though.

I think the teams that might be interested in Coho would be the flames, yotes and panthers

His agent used the term (paraphrasing) "we feel that he is better served playing against men". Zadorov's party was more than happy to go back to Russia and they did very little to negotiate out of it, which has been done before, btw. They strong-armed the team, plain and simple.

He's out right now I think he has MONO, he's a good player and can score but he is on the Kings. I want no part of ROR at 6 mill a year.

Coho is way to slow to play with the Flames, I agree with the Yotes and Panthers though.

If Murray senses anything of big Z wanting to leave or threatening to leave, he will make good trade bait.

I've never understood the interest in ROR at $6M+, he isn't a player you build your team around IMO but he is a great complementary player that could take a team over the top. We are not that team.

He would be the leading scorer on this team if that tells you anything.

He's a good player but let's not forget he plays on the Kings, i'm sure in time he would do well with the Sabres.

Half the posters on this site could lead the Sabres in scoring but I get your point.

Just the Kings called a time or 2 about Myers, they are hurting on D but Regher is coming back so do they make a move for Myers or use " patch work " to replace Voynov?
