lets start that Fire sale and blow this poop up so we stay at 30th forever now ..

don't (frank) around like last time

- gerbe75pts

They really don't need another fire sale to stay in last. The biggest threat to the tank right now is addition by subtraction.

Maybe we trade Pysyk for Domi then.
- Maximum Signal

I'm fine with that too.

Point is... If Risto & Zads is our future top pairing, they get locked in & the other d-men become assets.

Lets establish that dynamic top scoring line as well.

Bro... Juniors and the AHL is where young players develop. Darcy operated that way just like TM.

How did Domi look against his peers in the World's biggest stage?

Btw, wonder how happy Team Russia is with the Buffalo Sabres for not allowing Zadorv to compete for a team that lost Gold by 1g?

- SuperCat

Domi looked great, but you don't trade multiple assets for a junior player. Plus Darcy wanted Domi, he probably would throw a temper tantrum if they traded him

Risto and Zads allowed two goals from the Philly 4th line last night.

They are years away (Zadorov more than Risto) from being a legit top oair

Think this happened in the locker room last night?

It bears repeating from last night.

- buffalofan19

It's unlikely that happened. Even if they did give HardHat access to the lockerroom, I don't think they would let him wear a baseball uniform in there.

I'm not touching a thing right now other than unloading Staff, Stew and any others that hold some sort of value (that could bring in picks/prospects).

Less than half a season left of this and McDavid is in the fold. Not saying he turns out to be Crosby/Gretzky/Lemiuex but if he turns into Stamkos/Tavares/Toews I'm pretty damn excited !

That's not Hardhat. It can't be. That man looks nothing like the picture he posted.

I think confidence breeds success (and vice-versa).

Right now this team plays with ZERO confidence. The coaching and leadership IMO are seriously lacking.

Get McEichel on board, make a few additions via trade/FA and hopefully Reinhart is ready to contribute. They start winning a few and all the talent may come to the forefront sooner rather than later.

Spot on 19.
Sometimes the best action is no action...that is what we have here.
I would like for Risto and Zadorov to show more signs of life/maturing.
The only concern I have with the Tank is making sure that our youngin's continue to improve and don't regress.

I never really bought into the notion that bringing younger players into a "losing environment" hurts their development. If it does, those players never had the mental makeup to succeed in this league in the first place, regardless of how well the team was doing when it started. Either a player has "it", or he doesn't.

McDavid ain't "in the fold" when/if the Sabres finish in 30th by virtue of the fact that they will only have a 20% chance of drafting 1st ... Which is necessary to Land McDavid.

Ok, your opinion. Mine is that you look at Edmonton as a potential result. I do think your opinion Is well founded when you consider a guy like Girgs...but with a young guy like Zadorov who is showing some signs of immaturity, he may be impacted by it all.
So all I'm saying. Is if I were the coach, I would be focusing only on ensuring those young guys receive alot of attention and reinforcement along the way...ignore the old guys/ guys likely to be gone next year..don't waste your time...

I never really believed in that either. I also never thought I would see a Sabres team that is this bad in my lifetime. It's definitely changed my thinking.

My issue with Nolan is that many players on this team just play uninspired, which isn't his trade mark. Typically players go through the wall for him, and that is what I want the young players to learn...high compete level. As many seem to believe whe a new coach comes in 1 or 2 years to coach the high-end talent...at least the young guys will have learned how to compete at a high level .. No more CoHo attitudes.

Obviously I'd rather have McDavid but Eichel would be a nice consolation prize.

Shouldn't matter how Russia feels, we were hurting on defense at the time and couldn't give him up. They need to understand that

It isn't so much the losing that is bad...it is the way guys in the locker room deal with it .. Check out, do what they want cause there is zero hope, reduce the compete cause they don't think it will help such a crappy talentless team, in-fighting .
Those are the negatives...not the fact you lost 10 in a row.

Building a dynamic scoring line obviously includes McEichel.

Yes, you are finishing in last place. And you're trading off the like Enroth & Myers if that's what nessicary to do so. This is all required in the name of "building" and elite scoring line.

So now you've got a McEichel & a Sam Reinhart... Are you going to use them as 1/2 centers, or are you gonna play them on the same line with another elite player (yet to be found)?

Girgensons/Ennis/Moulson looks like a line I'd like to keep togeather, so I'd just assume put Reinhart with McDavid and whomever (maybe Grigorenko?).

We do have an abundance of centers so that does make sense. But I'd like to see reinhart mcdavid and moulson.... I can see good things with that line
