how deep is coho in the doghouse?
- homiedclown

MFE more than doubled his time on ice. The what 10th call up of the season vet that people say blows (yet I say is the man) got 13 min. He got 5. He is deep in the house

if one of enroth or neuvirth are traded, and it should come to fruition shortly, methinks Hackett will be up with the big club...he should get an audition before they make a decision on him
- Michael Pachla

Honestly, I think the future goalie of this team is not on the roster yet.

What perspective? They're bad? Well duh.
- Pierceme69

If they said it was Atlanta or Phoenix I would have yeah whatever. But that was a team that had tanked and was playing it's future superstar and would go on to be great.

one thing i'll say for this organization...they have a history of finding real good goalies going all the way back to roger the dodger, so i'm not too concerned

Lemieux played his last game a couple of weeks before the streak started (his last game was a 4-3 OT loss at home vs. buffalo)...and with players like Crosby, gonchar, recchi and leclair, they sure could score...but like the previous season, they had the worst goals against in the league...finished second-last in 2005-06

This.
At this point, I am not even concerned with finding a future goalie to carry us to a championship yet.
#1 goal this year SHOULD be finishing LAST.

My brother in law was lucky enough to attend Penguins practice through his coaching hookups. It would turn out to be Lemieux's last practice and last time even lacing them up until an alumni game at the winter classic a few years ago. He has pictures with both Lemieux and Crosby that day. I think he got to skate with them as well. Pretty cool.

It's starting to look like Arizona may be the team at the bottom competing for 30th with Buffalo. When they start dumping pieces they they could be Sabres level sucky.

Anyone else notice how excessively long the All-Star break is for the Sabres? After tomorrow's game against the Wings they are off for 8 days.

I've been saying this for a while now.....

With Darcy there, they will do everything they can to out-tank us. They are already a bad team and they are proving they are in tank mode for sure. Once they ship off a could of their key pieces, it is really going to be a battle.

The Oilers are bad as well, but they at least have some offensive talent on their team. I am hoping they will score enough and get average play out of their goalie at some point.

But, in Arizona, they already shipped out their best goalie and are going to be shipping their better players out very soon. I don't think a 5 point lead on them will be enough. We must keep losing.....and losing every game. It is going to be a battle until the very last game, I'm afraid. I really hope all of those stupid shootout wins don't cost us.

A lot of people look at this season as a disaster. The fact is, though, the only way this season is a disaster is if we don't end up with the 1st or 2nd pick. If we finish 29th and end up picking 3rd..........that is the disaster. If we finish dead last, outside of winning the Stanley Cup, we will have had the best possible season.

But yeah......Arizona is a real threat to us. As bad as we are, they could be just as bad, or worse, really soon......

🎶 Back in last...really fast...hey NHL, it's good to be back.

Sabres lose...pass the booze...McDavid or Eichel, who do we choose?

We keep stinkin' up the place, falling flat on our face... Only Edmonton is running along side us in this "race"

Hope we're...

picking first, cuz we're the worst, sick and tired of this sports town being cursed... 🎶

I have a feeling the sabres are going to trade for Mike Richards

expect Richards and a first rd pick coming our way, perhaps a winger and blah d player going the kings way

just a hunch

I would love to see that happen, I like josi. He's young and had 13 goals last year. Hell throw in weber on that deal

I’m going against the norm here and saying Buffalo should trade Chris Stewart to LA for Mike Richards.
Stewart is a little younger and cheaper, but doesn’t have the offense now or in the past of Richards. Their stats today are almost identical. I don’t follow LA, but they seem heavy at center and light on the wing
On the Buffalo side – they are horrible TODAY at CENTER (the lack of goals on the team has probably something to do with the fact we don’t make any plays at center. AND can we get a center to get in front of the net??). Hey Ted, we might want to name Cody Hodgson – in some trade rumors soon.
In the near future with Girgensons, Reinhart and McDavid we’ll have the youth to excel at the center position…. By adding a guy like Richards, would not only help now, but also in the future.

Question for all of you?

At what point do we flip the switch and say enough is enough and start to be competitive! How many picks & young prospects do we need?

Heard Ted Black talk about Auston Matthews on WGR!
