Have hope, Mason could be out again and again, and Girouxs cut could get infected.

Did anyone else notice Giroux was having trouble staying on his skates the other night-maybe against the Caps??? He seemed to be falling forward a lot in open ice, that speaks volumes

- Steelmanpa

i didn't notice that, but he doesn't seem to be as explosive as he was prior to the injury. Still highly effective, but just seems to be a half step slower. Not surprising given the severity of the cut.

Kimmo's lungs have cleared, legs have not; doesn't sound good as far as returning. #Flyers

I'm guessing it's as likely Kimmo returns as the team making the playoffs.

i did notice one time in the caps game that G fell in the slot with nobody near him and i thought about the injury; beyond that i didn't notice it

I think you guys might be reaching a tad on Timmonen's value for a trade. Personally I hope he goes out a Flyer. Really I don't see good value with any of our defensemen.

Lights go dark Game 1, just as the puck drops... Lights flash momentarily... A figure is in the rafters... Lights go dark once more... The lights return... Kimmo is at center ice and all 5 Pens skaters are down on the ice motionless... The puck is in the Pens net.

Refs ruling: No goal. Rinaldo is given a game misconduct.

Matt Read is battling the flu and will be a game-time decision. If he doesn't play, Akeson will be in.#Flyers

I'm really eager to hear about Timonen. As I've said, I hope he gets a clean bill of health so that he can lead a normal life. I'm hoping for a best case scenario where he can play some games before the end of the season. Not because it will get us in the playoffs but because I want to see him go out on his terms and for the fans to be able to honour him.

Question. Say he comes back and is solid, I wonder if he would consider a trade to a contender so that he can get a deserved shot at a cup. I bet there'd be interest and if we could get say a late 2nd for him why not?

- Hextall271

He'd fit well in Detroit...except he is a lefty and they are reported to be looking for a right handed shot.

But his style of play would be a good fit in Detroit.

A lot of guys for both teams were falling down in that game, if I recall. It could have been the Vancouver game, though. I remember thinking that the ice must have sucked.

I think Nashville would be a fitting place to send him too. Former team. Lavi. They're killing it this year...

i was puzzled by no mention of MAF in your scenario but then i remembered it was the playoffs so he wouldn't be there anyway

Maybe.

The counterpoint is that he is the only significant player missing from last year's roster which was a playoff bubble team.

If people who complained about Kimmo last year wanted to see what the team would look like without him....they now have their wish.

Berube bought out the entire plane so Akeson could learn a thing or two on the trip.

I hope kimmo decides to retire. He hasn't been on skates since August. He always struggles to start out years normally. He is going to be a shell of himself on an awful team. It's just going to be painful to watch and I'm fine with his last games being playoff games not him getting stomped

Move Vinny with g, Raffl to 3 and Rinaldo to 4....much better lineup. But then again the current lineup may serve us better in the long run
