Nothing dispassionate about it, unless you want to ignore the part where I said if he is willing to accept a trade, which means it was his choice to end his career with a contender. It is also not dispassionate to hope that Timonen could possibly achieve one of his career goals as an NHL player of winning the Stanley Cup. I personally would love to see Timonen skate with the Cup, because I think he deserves it. Rather see it with the Flyers but we know that isn't happening. So if you want to label that dispassionate, have at it.
