Id honestly say not many when referring to actual fans from long island. Been there all along just not going to games for obvious reasons. - Cptmjl
So it was ok for Islanders fans to do that, but Pens fans who didn't go during their down/bankruptcy years are bandwagon fans??? |

I feel like I need a flack jacket to be on this board. Look we are missing some of our key guys and the Isles are tough. This will be anything but easy. When the Isles got Boychuck they got the missing, "piece". I would love to steal him in free agency. |

Thanks, but rumors around islander country is that Boychuk is looking and buying a house on LI, so to us, it almost indicates that he will resign. So things look pretty good for us w/him. |

Kris Letang is not a #1 D, and especially not a franchise D. Pittsburgh has made him into those two things and it's not a coincidence that Pittsburgh has won four playoff series since 2009. It's silly to assume that he's still going to develop into anything more than a misplaced 3.
At one point earlier this season I compared Letang to St. Louis Blues D Kevin Shattenkirk; a #3 who racks up PP points, eating 4.250M a year. Letang is now a less effective player at the same position and is costing the Penguins on and off the ice. - Johnny Wrath
Wow love the passion, I feel as though its a bit misguided; still very powerful statement.

You were implying that half the people here are bandwagon fans, when a large majority of us have been long time Penguins fans and remember the days of D!cky Tarnstrom leading the Penguins in scoring. |

So let me get this straight, Islanders fans who don't go to games are still fans. But Pens fans who don't go to games, probably weren't fans. Right? Jesus man, get a freaking clue. |

First off it was a joke hence the . Second of all my first post was in reference to the drafting of Malkin and Crosby being the turning point. Tarnstrom |

Just looking at that, it looks like Ricky D gets hit with a forearm, not a punch.
Either way, he was the one who wanted it, not sure why Haley felt he had to challenge Johnson the next game. |

I'm sure that he'll be more than happy to sign long-term on the Island for $8million/year for 7 years. |
