Dirty play by Martin for sure. That was the only time he has been suspended. I know a lot of your fellow fans feel different but Martin plays a clean hard physical game. What separates him from the rats is he won't take advantage of a vulnerable player for the most part. I've seen him pull up many times when he could have destroyed guys but hey you hate us and we hate you so its all good

I can obviously only go off of the games I have seen him play and he reminds me a lot of the way Downie plays, who I can also only go off of the things I have seen him do. They both seem like good teammates who will be right there to defend a teammate and I certainly wouldn't hate having Martin on the Pens. But from seeing what Martin did/attempted to do to Talbot, and some other antics such as always seeming to start crap after whistles, I can't call him a clean player. I don't care if his hits are 99% clean and the other 1% are questionable at worst. I put him in the same mold as Downie and others like him, which is that when they are on your team you love them, when they are playing against your team you hate them. That's all.

1. Why would Pens want him back after his first go around was such a disaster that both sides wanted out?
2. How on earth would his cap fit?
3. Do we really need another defenseman if we are going to give Harringtona legitimate shot, which it looks like we will?

the punch that ended dipietros terrible career did what, broke his jaw or orbital bone and then when he was going down he sprained his mcl? did he hurt his back too or was that a prior injury? sucks for him, and the US, he was supposed to be an elite US goaltender for years to come...

I just watched it. I was no different then any other fight. He got up without any help and skated away on his own. Did you ever think the fans were pumped to see a goalie fight, which is a rarity in the NHL?? You're reaching

He was broken way bfr that unfortunately. Bilateral never ending knee issues. I believe he broke his orbital and facial bones. That was some punch.
