See that's my point. All I said is that Islander fans are sensitive and you got your knickers twisted.
Just like what will happen if the refs call two penalties on the Islanders tonight. Both the Islanders and this comment section will be filled with:
"The Penguins dive."
"The league favours Crosby and Malkin."
And a litany of posts along those topics. - Ben37
Haha Ur funny. U completely got ur facts wrong, the isles have been disgruntled for many years not sensitive like the Pens
So I'm not twisted or even trying to twist things, u just need to get ur facts straight.
Back 2 the drawing board bud.....

Injure players intentionally? - Cptmjl
I havent seen him try to do that this season but I could just be misremembering...i think hes been good for us, and although hes leading in PIM I believe the majority of them are coincidentals and msiconducts...I bet there are other guys who have more individual minors than he...like malkin, hahaha |

Why wasnt it a suspension then? Talbot turtled and Martin could have destroyed him and didnt how is that an attempted sucker punch? - Cptmjl
I edited my post. It was a suspension. 4 games.
There is no doubt that he threw the punch. The only reason he didn't connect was because Talbot turtled, not because Martin "held up" |

You're misremembering. Try remembering to the last time we played your team and id bet every dollar I have theres been quite a few in btn. Irregardless he is what he is and you guys like him which is fine. Just stop pointing your fingers at players that dont even play that kind of game. |

You can clearly see him pull his arm back to punch that little biotch and not even throw it after he turlted like the little girl he is so I have no idea what youre talking about? |

the only reason downie is going to try and hurt someone would be as a retaliation, I honestly think MJ and tochett have gotten through to him and his play has showed that...i didnt point any fingers at your players...although i do remember when martin or haley or whoever concussed tangradi right in the back of his head, talk about a dirty play...at least they should go man to man with someone,
dipietro got his arse kicked for sure but at least he stood up toe to toe
why are we talking about hockey fights from years ago? hahaha |

whats been up with tavares this year? i really thought this was the year that he was going to take the next step and be right at the top of the art ross race.
he was my first pick in fantasy, and as much as i hate that he is an islander, he is ridiculously talented.
the goals seem to be there. and its not like he is sinking the team, because their record obviously shows otherwise. but the assists of all things just really dont seem to be there. especially on the powerplay.
just a flukey thing, lingering effects of the injury, changing his game, or what? |

I totally forgot Martin's todd bertuzzi, on Talbot; that was intent to injure for sure. |

Not sure. He has been closer to last years form the last couple of weeks. He was off to a slow start but has really picked it up. He needs a finisher on his line that's part of the problem |

How does him intending to sucker punch somebody, even if he didn't do it, not dirty. Funny thing about that whole incident was the Islanders were upset about a clean hit on an Islander that injured a player from the previous game. The Islander, Blake Comeau |

does he still skate regularly with okposo? hes one of the better wingers around, although he doesnt appear to fit the pure sniper mold.
is he missing vanek?
are any of you missing vanek, for that matter? |

Yes its been him and KO and a rotation of wingers on the other side. I think from a personal stand point he misses vanek but with the way they are playing its hard to say the team misses him. I still think they need a pure finisher to play with them. I miss Vanek a little myself but just a little he was pretty lazy in most of the other areas |

That was later in the game. Earlier in the game Martin tried to blindside sucker punch Talbot. Talbot turtled because he saw a fist coming at his face and didn't have time to do much else besides react, which apparently makes him a girl. Apparently real men allow themselves to get knocked out by sucker punches they see at the last second. |

Bcs he didnt do it aka the guu has got a conscience. Having a difficult time understanding how youre not grasping this? That game was more retaliation for the entire pens bench laughing and pointing at dipietro lying on the ice after Johnson punched along with the crowd cheering as a player was injured on the ice. It was pretty disturbing though that was the beginning of the end for DP |

you can see what real men do here, see gillies, he elbows tangradi in the head, and then once tangradi goes down he starts sucker punching him in the head after he already concussed him...thats what real men do, wait no, thats what islanders do |

Dirty play by Martin for sure. That was the only time he has been suspended. I know a lot of your fellow fans feel different but Martin plays a clean hard physical game. What separates him from the rats is he won't take advantage of a vulnerable player for the most part. I've seen him pull up many times when he could have destroyed guys but hey you hate us and we hate you so its all good |

If Talbot doesn't see him, does he pull back or follow through with the punch? And Dipietro was an idiot for fighting. And how does the crowd know he was injured? It wasn't like he was on the ice for minutes after the fight. He got up, and skated away to the bench. |

cooke was a pretty dirty player i will give you that, although theres no way he couldve sliced karlson on purpose...ending savards career though, lucic or chara shouldve killed him... unfortunately for he and us he couldnt back it up, ala getting knocked the F out by evander kane, cooke is a terrible fighter |
