Well you know my opinion on that there's no sense beating that dead horse but there were quite a few Pens fans that agreed with me and had their posts deleted soon after? Irregardless Martin leads the league in hits every year and I can literally count on half a hand how many of those could be deemed as dirty. One of them was this year against the Flyers on Schenn. Other than that I can't even recall?
The guy hits a lot and is really effective in doing so and removing players from the puck. If he were hitting players without the puck he'd get penalized and if he were the type to "take runs" at players I'd think he would have been suspended by now for it wouldn't you? - Cptmjl
It's funny because the game after that game where Malkin had his knee taken out by that filthy Boychuck, an Islandes player was taken out & the fans in the tread were whining about - 'but he didn't have the puck, the puck had been cleared & he got hit'. So for Malkins hit where the puck was no where near him it was OK but when the reverse happens & it's an Islanders player they scream the place down????
Someone mentioned hypocrisy?
Also these guys know exactly what hey are doing & if a knee is hit it is on purpose - no matter who it is! Suter a dirty player? He is now.
Just 1 more thing, when Sid was out this year Downie really stepped up in attack scored a couple & assisted even got a few games worth of stars. So he is not just a thug there is talent there as well, he just needs to be told OFFENCE not OFFEND! |

Downie breakaway too. Chances are there for both teams. Just need to keep doing simple things and limit those turnovers. Isles are too good when they get moving up the seam with speed. |

Loving Perron. What a great player. Strong on the puck......can't wait to see what that line looks like with Hornqvist. |

Sid in worst slump of career. 2 pts away from leading the league.
Vorecek leading the league is on fire.

Not really.. pretty spot on. Sid was slumping, that was obvious.
Vorecek over achieving... also obvious. |
