According to you his "type of play" is awful.

I'm just pointing out how backwards your thought process with this is.

Gorges isn't a terrible defenseman and we probably can get a 1st rounder for him if we wanted to. But I don't think they move him. I think he's here to be a vet presence on the blueline. He's a prefectly sufficient 3rd pair guy. He's playing a role that's way over his head right now, IMO and once things here shake out the way we all hope, he'll be prefected suited to be a bottom pairing guy and the vet presence that they need back there.
