Just talked to my doctor buddy who is affiliated with the Sabres. He said managment is totally done with these guys. Nolan is as good as gone and the team is talentless. Pure tank. Not that this is a revelation to anyone or anything but it was interesting to hear.

That's very interesting. I wouldn't say talentless, but untalented I could agree with. It seems weird that they signed Nolan for three years last season, but Pegula does not seem to care about paying money to coaches that no longer work for him.

He didn't confirm that it would definitely be the end of this year, but he did say they actually pushed this team to see if they had anything worth keeping together for next year and they don't. Management is has totally given up hope on them. Sounds like only the expected characters(Girgs, Risto, Zads, Ennis and Myers) would be retained. And maybe not even Ennis and Myers. Total blow up.

Just heard this morning TM say that Myers is one piece to build the franchise around, and that he's fielded some calls about Myers but not made a single call to anyone about a trade. He also said none of our ufas are going to walk without us getting something.

Love hearing the inside scoops and all, but I just thought about this... If the team doctor knows that Nolan is gonna be poop-canned, and the rest of the talent-deprived pretenders know they are as good as gone,why doesn't the coach or the players know it? Or the suck sisters part deux?


Does management let on that someone, say Stafford, is gonna be trade fodder? We don't really want our players mailing it in (or at least appearing to) lest we get accused of tanking in non obvious way.

Secondly, and this isn't really to you, but I can see us winning #1 this year, because of Pegula's cash and the goodwill created by the new arena and fostering the sport. Plus, how we got screwed last year. I just think we can't appear to be obviously tanking, or Bettman will give it to Arizona.

Have a feeling that the Wild and Sabres are going to be dance partners again, possibly by tomorrow. At this point, if Buffalo was asking for Coyle in a trade for Enroth, Fletcher would probably do it.
