Seriously though if Halak goes down to injury (which he is known to do) we would be screwed. When Boychuck went down we lost like 4 out of 5. I mean everyone seems to be winning in this division it is sick. I did not even know the Rangers won 13 out of 14 I was look OMG that is amazing!! - kasperrko

Caps too. I think AV said it last night, how many times do you see a team go 13-1 and not really move anywhere. Its a dogfight in the Metro. |

I pretty much guarantee you guys make the playoffs. As far as being better.. Isles look a 100x better than they have in recent years. Halak, Boychuck and Leddy are looking like some of the best pickups in the offseason. Although I'm not exactly sure how or when you guys got Halak.
Also having Strome, Lee and Nelson play regularly has been huge also. - mdw7413
To this point, no team improved themselves in the off season, as much as the Isles did.
Even the Grabovski and Kulemin signings provided the veteran depth that all good teams need to thrive. Boychuk, Leddy and Halak acquisitions were absolute gold and have made the Isles a very good hockey team. |

Being an Islander fan for years though you always remember the bad. Like when they lose like 7 or eight games in a row and then become a laughing stock again. - kasperrko
They are currently 16 games above NHL .500; they have to go on a massive winless or losing streak to miss the playoff boat this season. |

Isles get an A+ for the offseason. Yeah forgot about Grabo and Kulemin. Snow seemed to find the right balance between vets & rookies and what he already had. |

Deal. I just don't know who on the Rangers current roster would fill that role, but I'm sure you could think of someone.
I have to tell you, one thing i was shocked about last night was the Isles team defense. I know you guys have the horses upfront, and fixed some of the issues on the back end with Boychuck & Leddy, but the forwards coming back and helping out was impressive. - mdw7413
That's one of the biggest reasons why Kulemin and Grabovski(i know he didn't play last)were acquired. They are both excellent defensive fwds. The rest of the fwds bought in(most of the time not all of the time ). |

Holy sh*t. We, myself included, have spent the whole morning fluffing the Islanders. Frankly, I'm getting sick of it. Let them earn their stripes when it counts as far as I'm concerned. The Islanders can all go to hell as far as I'm concerned.
Jeez, I'm done. Screw them, and their 8 total playoff wins in 20 years. |

I was hoping for a 3rd period like you guys had in Buffalo. Apparently they learned their lesson. |

I was just doing it for Vukota and Captain since they are so damned thin skinned. Figured an ego boost would help. |

Kulemin is the most underrated addition Snow made in the offseason. He has been huge. With that I'll stop hijacking your thread(for now ). |

or you mean like those horrible jerseys they had in 95-96?
To your other point though the Isles are vastly improved even despite of their best player not having his best season. They did well with their offseason moves and will surely make the playoffs. They were the better team last night. Fortunately for all of us fans, there is plenty of hockey remaining. |

I'd rather compliment them than sh!t on my team. Last night's results could have us go either way. Nothing good about the Rangers game last night and plenty good about the Islanders.
Credit due. |

Captain, I'm going to give you a list of posters that I want you to take on your boat, take them out to see, and drown them. I'll have it done shortly. If any of them can swim 9 miles back to shore, they can live.
I promise, I won't put you on the list, as I am sure that you won't be too thrilled about drowning yourself.
