yeah, I did think of it, and he'll probably suit up vs Boston because they have a few doosh bags there.
I was actually missing Dorsett last night to be honest - jimbro83
Honestly, I know the Rangers got the third rounder for Dorsett, but given that his contract is pretty much equivalent to Glass's contract, I am not sure I wouldn't rather have Dorsett, even if it meant giving back the third rounder. Dorsett is just a better player.

I don't know why we traded him, obviously AV wanted Glass and Dorsett was the odd man out but what a mistake it was, he was a lunch pail guy - HankdaTank
It all comes down to this. Would you rather have Glass and Iverson or Dorsett?

13 points this year for Vancouver.
I think Glass could play 10 years for the Rangers and not get 13 points total. |

Agreed. I think what it came down to was dorsett is a ufa after this year and with the way quality 4th liners get paid nowadays he will get over 2M on the open market. |

I get that, and I agree. But, in order for it to make a real difference, you almost have to trade one of your Top 3 centers for a guy that is better in the dot. Otherwise, if you are just bringing in a specialist, I don't think your overall percentage goes up much. At least, however, you would have a guy capable of winning key draws during the game.
But, how many draws is that guy going to take during the normal flow of the game. Not many, right? - Pete V
Yeah you are right. I would just hope we would have someone once we are in the playoffs if the Rangers were up by 1 with a minute left that could take a draw in the defensive zone and not have to sit through a nail biting shooting gallery because most likely we lose the draw. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part, but I would like to see someone added before the playoffs without changing the lineup significantly. |

I certainly understand the reason for the trade, but I would also much rather have Dorsett this year. Hopefully, that Iverson kid turns into a prospect, but isn't he struggling this year?

Yes he is and during the WJC he got more playing time and did nothing with it, can't win every 3rd round |

Dorsett was a better fit for ur team, anyhow, why don't u guys trade for Vermette? |
|
|

Yes - HankdaTank
He's actually been pretty good the last month and a half. Was struggling badly to start they year but not anymore. |

We apparently want Sekera over anyone else. |
|
|
|
I think that would screw with the chemistry although he's not producing enough to save himself right now - HankdaTank
I get the chemistry thing but to bring in a face off guy we need to clear cap space. How much space do we have right now?
Would you guys do Glass and Hags for Stewart and a 2nd |

I don't think he's attainable without a first rounder |

I think so without a 1st, he's not elite or top 4Dman which would command a 1st...

Problem I see with moving Hagelin is, the guy is great on the PK, which would open a whole other issue, and despite not putting up points right now, he spends a lot of time in the other teams zone. I don't want to lose Hagelin. |

Paul Gaustad cost a 1st at the deadline a few years ago. Erat cost Forsberg. Inflated prices for guys like Vermette. |

I would definitely be into acquiring him, the Rangers would also have to figure out a way to take his cap hit, 3.75 mil |

I think we have enough room to fit Sekera so if Arizona retains a million we should be good. Arizonas not exactly a franchise that has money to spend on players not playing for them though. |

Traded Dorsett for the pick as well and at time, to clear cap space. Of course paying $1.45 million to replace someone who makes $1.633 million, makes no sense, but you all already knew that already. |

We have seen how good the third line can be using Hags' speed coupled with Hayes' playmaking and either Miller or Stempniak there. If you could add a center that wins draws and move Hayes to wing, that would bolster the lineup. But again, the team just won 13 of 14 before last night, so no reason to panic, though we all the holes that exist which need to be filled. |

doesn't it feel right now like we won 1 out of 14 before last night? |
