I don't know how much interest there would be. Emery's cap hit is 1M, Zepp's is 600K. If the Flyers offered Zepp a one year deal right now for next season, for the same money, he'd say where do I sign.

yes, they were flat. but got much better about 10 minutes in. they played a good game. i agree that they're not a good team though.

Good game tonight from him, however with the 2 wins he had an .88 save percentage coming into tonight. I hope he gets majority of backup duty to see more. One thing about him that no one can question is work ethic. You don't make your debut in the NHL at 33 without it being top notch

I'd give him ample opportunity to prove or disprove that down the stretch, even after Mason returns. See if Emery can snag a 5th-7th rounder, just to get a return & give Ray a chance to play, then I'd do a 60-40 split with Mason & Zepp down the stretch. Let Mase play enough to stay sharp, and let Zepp play enough to have as good an idea as possible for next season.

If these 3 games were a mirage, there's othe good options for a backup out there for small FA investments

What makes Crosby, Ovechkin and Stamkos a big deal is their body of work to date, being drafted first overall and being marketed before entering the league.

Giroux is currently tied for third in the NHL points race. He's finishes third overall in the points race twice within the last three seasons prior to this one.

Jake and G are killing it. Still not going to get them into the post-season. I'd prefer if they miss, they miss big and get a top pick. It only makes sense.

If they get a 4th for him, I'll build a shrine to Hextall in my living room. If Dubnyk is worth a third, Emery, at absolute most is a 5th, at least IMO.

Tough game. Holtby and Zepp both looked good. Kinda hard to believe Zepp got the start ahead of Emery, but he's either finally arrived in the NHL or is running on adrenaline.

Hope Laughts is ok. Quite a shot he took, maybe some whiplash or something. Hopefully they just kept him out of the game as a precautionary measure.
