no you weren't. you said that isles fans opinions on goalie contracts were uselss because their idiot GM signed a bad contract a decade ago.
i pointed out that your current GM is responsible for maybe 5-6 of the 10 worst FA contracts of the last 20 years.
you weren't trying to have a discussion, you were trying to troll......and very poorly i might add. - sensarmy_11
hahahahahahaha i just realized youre a senators fan. You must be really confused

The difference is DP's contract never had an impact on a team that was scraping the floor. Nor will it. Yashin's is off the books this season on top of it. I believe it was at 1 million this year? Having players like Tavares and Okposo locked up to reasonable contracts is huge. Snow has been pretty damn good at negotiating contracts. The aftermentioned were either Wang(DP, which he admitted to jumping over Snow's head) or Milbury(Yashin). Tavares is the best contracts in the NHL. - Cptmjl

Id be pretty happy my life long dream to play in the NHL is coming true - robin_steele264
I mean I think they already know they're going to the NHL. If the oilers had any promise at all I wouldn't be saying that but how many first over all picks they get and yet sit in the dweller. No one wants to be a part of a team that doesn't believe they even have a chance. |

Craig Anderson is a VERY consistent goalie; there's about 5-6 goalies I MIGHT swap if I'm playing in a one winner take all game.
(Quick, Price, Raask, Crawford, Varlamov) first 3 for sure
Lundqvist is def the better goalie but not as consistent in my opinion. King gets pulled more than I'd like to see. Most would take him and logic would say take him, me personally I'm taking Anderson (right now). You know what your going to get from Anderson; solid goaltending, 1 on 1 very strong. Covers angles really well and good on breakaways. Technically very strong. - AlfieisKing

not trolling anyone, trying to have a discussion. Was a legitimate quetion that went unanswered - rferrone
Discussions and legitimate questions usually don't arise from pea-brained comments like "your team did something bad so by default you don't know anything"
Nice whiff on the save attempt though. |

It was still a bad contract. Just the team could eat it because the team wasn't going anywhere- it didn't hurt the team- helped hit the cap floor... If that contract was still on the books today, it would be a different story. Just like with Philly and Pronger.
I was saying the same thing about Lu's contract, it didn't hurt the team until management/coaches screwed up the situation and Lu wanted out.
The Tavares contract is very good. |

Good thing these kids actually have respect for the fact that they're getting to play in the best league in the world, and are not a bunch of entitled jackasses like you - SpoiledByOil
Way to get super defensive lmao. These kids don't compete as hard as they do to settle for losing just because it's the NHL. Again. Wouldn't be saying that if oilers improved even slightly year to year. But they somehow get worse. |

if pointing out a poopty self entitled opinon is getting defensive then sure
It's not somehow, it was the stupid idea of firing good coaches that were seeing progress with an extremely young team then bringing in the idiot that is Eakins.
We should be fighting for a playoff spot, and if we still had Renney and Kruger there's not doubt in my mind we would be.

Didnt realy mean to rag on the oilers in the first place, i personally like them, im just jealous they keep getting the picks they do. If they draft mcdavid or eichel, snag even one of the few good defensemen that will be available UFA theyll be in the playoffs next year or the year after.
Im just saying if you were a kid with all the talent in the world in which all 30 teams would murder to get you. yet the oilers picked you, wouldnt even a little bit of you think.... "FAK" |
