I'm not saying they would. I just always find it interesting how much more value people place on their own team's players (myself included). While Howard is perhaps marginally better than Anderson, I don't think he is several high-end prospects and high draft picks worth of value better.

The only way Detroit wants Anderson is if they are going to trade Howard.

A team doesn't want over 10mil devoted to two goalies when 1 is always sitting.

And as per value, it is a gamble to have that player you want to flip without a deal already in place. No teams this draft want to give up any valuable picks.

Howard is better. Neither have much value on the trade market.

1st off i never said anything about anderson only getting a 3rd, i said we shouldnt trade for him at all, he can get more than that somewhere, just not from detroit

2nd, Yes howard has more value than anderson, and yes howard can get at least one prospect and a high pick, i didnt mean hes gonna get 3 studs and 3 first rounders? i think i wasnt clear, i just meant we could trade him for a COMBO of picks or prospects of some sort

i agree with the first part, but flyers want D and to get rid of coburn. Edmonton needs an older established guy on the blue line like coburn. And they both realize you have to give to get. Edm ideally also needs another solid center and philly could use help on the wings

Maybe. But there will be several bigger market teams that miss the playoffs that they could choose to send him to that have better opportunities for fan base growth than Buffalo. Buffalo's fan base is saturated.
