YES.... ok you're right. Stamkos + Drouin + Hedman are top picks and those are going to be great pieces WHEN (not if) the lighting contend for the cup. But it's what Yzerman has done since coming to TB - getting rid of Lecavalier [heck that's GM of the year nomination right there] - Connolly was easier to get 6th overall after taking over i may of 2010 but then you get Gudas in the 3rd round, year later Palat in the 7th round! Kucherov in the 2nd (tied 13th in NHL scoring with Stamkos) - Signing Tyler Johnson, would of won the Calder if not for Mackinnon (guy's 6th between Getzlaf and Malkin in league scoring) --- all of this is wow. (not mentioning stealing Bishop from Ottawa for a 4th

I dont disagree with what youre saying but these teams had some high picks themselves. Quite a few. I agree Yzerman has done an incredible job on top of it imo along with their development like you said.

Just give me picks for any players. Obviously Edmonton isnt giving their first for Coburn and wouldnt make much sense to trade a high pick for him when you are aiming for a top pick.

The 1st rounder would need to come from a team in contention. I have no problem trading Coburn for a 1st (2 - 2nds if you cant get a 1st) and Streit for a 1st.

goalie market is saturated, not many teams could use anderson. the wild is an obvious choice but there are so many goalies available that a 1st isn't going to happen, especially if you think the sens aren't taking on any salary in return.
